Literally the best service, shave and haircut that I’ve ever had. Aaron was meticulous with every detail and took care of me. I cannot stress enough how incredible of an experience I had here. As a trans man, finding LGBTQ+ friendly services has always been a struggle, ESPECIALLY when it comes to cosmetic services. This place treated me right and gave me the best cut of my life. I’ve never, EVER felt more comfortable in my own skin than the moment I walked out of this establishment. Literally life changing. I have had my hair cut at H&BM twice now. It has been the best haircut service I have ever received in my 58+ years of living. A very comfortable and relaxed atmosphere. Very clean. The staff is very personable, and their service is excellent.

My husband has been going here for over a year and he gets a superb cut by Laura every time and the prices are excellent! Since I like to sport a very short no-maintenance pixie, buzzed on sides and back with short texture on top, finding a place that does the pixie I am after is so difficult. (I always provide several photo references.) I refuse to use any hair products (other than shampoo) and I let my hair dry naturally, so that is my test the next day after my hair is cut. This morning after my cut, no product applied, air-dried and it is PERFECT! I have visited so many salons in the area trying to find someone who can provide the pixie I want. Hair & Body Mechanix is it! After all, being a deluxe barbershop-type salon specializing in men’s hair, it makes sense they know how to do short hair right! The prices are excellent which is another huge bonus…about $10-20 less than most salons! Even though the prices are so great, they don’t skimp on the experience. The head massage & warm face towel wrap with your choice of essential oil is pretty special. Darin did an excellent job, getting all the nice short-length textures on top that I love, with clean precision clippered sides and back that blends into the top beautifully without any “lines” or awkward spots. Thank you so much, Darin! I’ve already scheduled my appointments through April! 😀

Only place I go for a hair cut. Aaron runs a great business. Every one of the hair dressers does an amazing job. They are great at listening to what style you want, and making sure you are happy before you walk out the door. And for the guy that wants to do a bit more maintenance, they offer a variety of waxing options.

Went in for a beard trim and hair cut with Aaron. Wonderful service, friendly staff, great price for what they offer. The chairs were very comfortable and gives extra space to the bigger guys, such as myself. The shampoo sink was also very comfortable to sit in; I’m a tall guy and usually have to scoot way down past where the seat ends in order to get my head into the sink. I’ve never had a hot towel on my face while I was being shampooed, but it was very relaxing since they add an essential oil to it (there’s several to choose from, too!). I felt like I was in very good hands and was receiving great quality service. I’ve already booked my next appointment and look forward to going again!

Very disappointed… It worst cut that he has ever had. Plus the most expensive hair cut too. At the beginning of the hair cut, I said that is way too short, your cutting it way too short. The barber ignored me and continued. I’m outraged. We have couples pictures in 2 weeks for a very special occasion and now his hair is absolutely hideous. This place has ruined our special pictures! Literally the worst cut ever. If the cut was good, price wouldn’t have even been a consideration. He did leave a decent tip out of curteous obligation, if it would have been up to me I would have left zero tip.

Great place for a haircut and shave. If you’ve never had a straight razor shave treat yourself to one, it’s a very therapeutic experience. The staff is excellent and there is great ambiance. Very very clean. I just can’t say enough good things about this place!
