I wanted his hair cut and layered but not short. I live in a small town with small minded people that only know how to cut little boys hair completely off so I took him to benders where they could keep his long beautiful locks. Really excellent salon. Very cute but minimalistic decor on the inside. Nicer than usual complimentary drinks- I was offered this hot apple cider! The washing station sinks have head rests so you don’t break your neck trying to enjoy the experience. They’ve really thought it through!

I had just moved here about a year ago and came here for my first local haircut. I was scheduled with Nicole ( I think) I came straight from work so my appointment was maybe at 5:30/6. When I first came in no one greeted me I just kinda stood there awkwardly waiting since it was my first time here. When I finally got checked in I was told she was running a little behind but would be with me shortly. About 20 minutes later the receptionist took me back to shampoo my hair. She acted like she was afraid to touch my head and afterwards put a towel around my neck with dripping wet hair and took me to a chair. When I got to the chair the stylist still was not ready for me so I sat there, cold, hair dripping down my back. When she finally started cutting my hair before any kind of consultation. After she trimmed it, she asked if I wanted my hair wavy or straight, I said it didn’t matter. Well she started curling my hair (when I was burnt on my left temple) and talking to a coworker about going skating when they got off because they had just all gotten skates…..when I walk upfront I was charged additional for the waves. Would’ve been nice to know upfront there was an up charge for it since I was going home and going to bed. Anyways, I was very disappointed this flashy beautiful salon did not provide me the hair service or experience I was looking forward to.
