I visited this salon for a keratin blowout. It should be noted that they use their own brand of products, so you won’t be getting Keratin Complex, etc. I wish I’d known that prior. The shampoo they used made my hair very soft. The keratin treatment itself is effective and lasts the stated length. My only reason for 2 stars is I’ve now had to chop more than 6 inches off my hair due to damage and breakage since the treatment. I’ve had numerous keratins and never experienced this. I would not say it’s the best quality and shouldn’t be used on processed hair.

Went to salon to make an appointment. Stood behind another lady at counter waiting for someone to wait on us. Finally one of the salon workers finished a client and walked to counter. Lady in front of me was taken and finished so I was next. Was told I would have to wait til she finishes her client check out. I told her I had been waiting but she said she would do her client first. Walked out, must not need new clients.

This company is unprofessional! The have had numerous employees in the last year! They can’t keep employees. Brittany, Joanna, and all the front desk reps, talk and gossip about the clients and other stylist. Then they just hired this phony “ Celebrity “ Wig stylist. Those wigs are fake and synthetic and don’t even go with the clientele. Even her hair is a mess. Since I started with this company I knew they did not want the black stylist with 27 years of experience at their salon. They faked smile and spoke , but whispered behind my back. They never gave me any clients, but my website was so impressive. I wish I could give this company zero stars! How is it only two stylist that’s getting all the clients! And your right Patty I am too much of a perfectionist and you want just to rush your stylist to rush and get them out the door! They hire stylist and don’t even ask for licenses or check their work! I don’t know how Brittany and patty are in charge of anything, I guess it’s all about who you know and who’s been there the longest. Paying 120 a day for stylist to just be sitting around! My first time working for a salon like this, never again!!!

I have been a customer of NYC Hair Bar Delray since my current hair dresser began working at the salon. I purchased 2 packages for both a blowout and hair colorings to use with my stylist. Before I could use up my packages the stylist left the salon leaving me with unused services. I. Called the salon to ask for a pro rated refund for the packages and was told a manager would call me back. That didn’t happen so I called a second time and was told I must find another stylist as packages are non-refundable. I signed no contract, nor was there ever a mention of non refundability. I feel I have no recourse except to contact my credit card company. I feel this salon both deceived and disrespected me for being a loyal customer.

Saw lovely lady named Ginny today who gave me a 24-karat keratin treatment. From start to finish it took her only 90 minutes which I was very appreciative of. She’s very knowledgeable experienced and sweet. She offered me products that would keep my hair looking good. The salon is top-notch modern and clean. All the employees were super friendly. I have had numerous Keratin treatments over the years and no one has done as good a job as Ginny did. I am very happy with the salon and my hairdresser.

Disappointed. The first time I went they did a good job because they wanted to catch me as a new client. I got a complete deep conditioning service in 6 steps for a promotional price. So I went back. Second time around they denied me the promotional price so I had to pay full price, and their full price is ridiculous. They charge like a high end salon when it’s not. They applied the deep conditioning only once (instead of 6 times!) and didn’t even offer to dry my hair afterwards, unless I paid extra for the blow dry. Terrible service. Won’t be coming back.

I was denied service after purchasing a package on Groupon. Apparently you have to be a new customer. I’ve enjoyed this hair salon in the past. The quality of care is exceptional with Brittney. However, it clearly states in the lower half of the Groupon that “location purchased. 24-hour notice of cancellation or $25 fee will apply. New clients only. Limit 3 per person. Limit 1 per visit. Subject to availability. Valid only for option purchased. Not valid with other offers or promotions. May be repurchased every 90 days.” Why am I getting denied when it clearly states 3 per person and every 90 days.
