Excellent place for permanent hair straightening, the staff are very friendly and have great experience.. my hair did not have any damage or breakage which is common in many hair salons. Also hair looks natural and doesn’t look weighed down in the crown area which is also great. They charge a nominal price and I am so happy I chose this hair salon. I give them 5 stars for the experience!!

This is a great place to get permanent hair straightening done. I come here every 8 months and have been coming for 8 years now. I remember the first time I came here, I did a lot of research on what kind of straitening to do, which place to go, which person to ask for etc etc. With the 8yr of experience, I can say that you dont have to worry about any of this. Laura and her team is really great, no matter who works on your hair (usually 2-3 ppl will work together) and Laura checks from time to time. They would tell you what treatment to do based on your hair type/condition. I took ‘before and after’ pictures each time (posting the last two sittings). My hair is frizzy and wavy maybe. After the treatment, they are so smooth and straight. The very first time, the result was the best. I still see the frizzy ones sometimes (hair standing out but still straight) and use the hair spray to set those down. You don’t have to do anything to your hair after shower. This one time 4-5hr sitting saves so much time and effort for fixing your hair after every shower. The team here is good, I almost fall asleep while they are working on the hair. They offer you water, food, and are pleasant and adjusting. Last time I had to leave mid-treatment for something else and they worked around it too! They keep talking among themselves in a language I dont understand but that does not bother me. If I had to pick a con, it would be the pricing (but maybe even that is justified). The very first time they had to do my full length hair, so they said the charge would be more but after that every touch up should be less. However touch-ups costed the same. Over the years the price has gone up little bit too. But still for the kind of work they do, I am very happy and would continue to come here. Highly recommended.

The worst saloon I have ever seen till yet. I went for hair cut & balayage . I show them the color i want, but they did something very different. When I discussed my issue with laura , she was so rude & charged me $ 390 just for the cut & balayage . My hair length is till shoulder. They charged me a lot.

I have been the customer for Japanese hair straightening at HK Salon for years now and I have done it 6 or 7 times. They never disappointed me with their service. I am an Indian, not Japanese 🙂 and have a very thick, curly, frizzy black hair and they are very patient and friendly with me every time when they do the hair straightening treatment. I have to be there around 4 to 5 hours for permanent straightening(that’s the usual/normal time needed since its permanent straightening) and I have never seen, they treat anyone differently based on anything. I highly recommend this place considering the quality of the service and the reasonable price.
