Due to my hair being long and thick my appointment lasted 6hrs and the whole time she continued to ask if I needed anything and making sure she was going the right direction with how I wanted my hair. My hair turned out fabulous and I already booked a second appointment to follow up in 6weeks. The other staff that was there was also extremely friendly as well. The salon is very clean and the staff continues sanitize while you are there. Today was my first experience as a new client to Gussy up and I couldn’t have been more pleased. My appointment was with Nickole and I was thoroughly impressed with her knowledge, professionalism, and customer service. I’ve been going to Gussy Up since we moved to PA in 2009. The ladies have always been incredible there, especially Barb and Megan, but recently there have been many issues. I was told that I could no longer make appointments because “60% of my previous appointments were no call no show”, which would be a fair remark if they actually followed through with the remind service that they offered. I mean seriously? You expect people to remember the exact time for a haircut 5-6 weeks in advance? Furthermore, we have requested that they update our phone numbers in their system 4 to 5 times now over the past year, but nothing has been fixed. Won’t be getting our business again unless something changes.

I had high hopes for this salon. All I needed was a new set of acrylic nails. I got a weird set of new nails and dipped nails. Which is not what I call a full set. You may ask why I didn’t bring it up there? Well when it takes over 2 hours to do the mess I got I certainly do not want to prolong it any more. I will say the hair cut was pretty good but then again she was about to begin my mess of hair without wash. But when she cut it she used absolutely no product whatsoever and then commented how my hair wasn’t holding a curl. For a $45 ,haircut it could’ve been better. But by thst point I believe her next appt was there waiting so she hurried. I told the young lady that if she did a great job she would pick up 2 new clients other than me. Now I’m not sure she or you will keep this client. I would like a new set especially since 1 has popped off. 2 days later. I also would like a call on mon from owner.

Went here because I had not had my haircut done for about a months and was happily surprised at how wonderful the service is and how good barbers they are. They take into account how your hair acts when cutting it to give you the best possible style. All of the barbers are wonderful people and it seemed like a family when I walked in. I will definitely be going to Gussy Up Day Spa again for my hair.

The owners make you feel like family and treat all of their customers with courtesy, kindness and respect. They can do anything you want with your hair. They also do great manicures and pedicures as well as other spa treatments.
