Not good. Tried them twice. I was a walk in and asked for a regular manicure. Owner was not happy. No gel? Met my manicurist and she upselled me to a gel manicure. Ok fine. But it was fast and not a good job at all. Get ‘‘em in get out was my feeling.And to top it off while I was getting my bad manicure the woman in charge announced if a customer wants anything but square shape it’s an extra $10. Unbelievable.

Groove salon is just a couple of blocks from my house, I have tried it twice now, in hopes that I would have a great conveniently located salon nearby. Unfortunately both experiences have been pretty terrible. Everyone is friendly and it is clean, however the quality of service is some of the worst I’ve ever experienced: inattentive, messy, incomplete and ultimately resulting in a service (I’ve had 2 manicures, 2 pedicures and 1 simple polish change) that was not at all worth the money spent. This most recent experience resulted in nail polish all over my cuticles, uneven filing/nail shape, and after my pedicure I had a sort of rug burn on my second toe (a legitimate cut formed) due to excessive scrubbing bc the tech was not paying attention to what she was doing, or to my feet at all, while my heels where I actually do have some callusing, remained basically untouched… I am eight and a half months pregnant and cannot reach my feet, it was very disappointing to pay $48 for a pedicure and still have calloused feet. The massage portion of the pedicure was about 30 seconds long. I have never, ever experienced that. I left this appointment and immediately made another, at another salon for the exact same services, I will not return to this salon, it was simply a waste of time and money.

Today I had an appointment with Tina at 10:45 when I arrived someone was in her chair she told me to wait 10-15 mins for her so I went to sit down I was upset. The boss and another worker Tammy witch happens to be Tina sister was sitting their as well. I began to say I had an appointment now I’m waiting I also had my nails done by Tina 3 weeks ago witch did not last. Tammy stated to me Tina is always late if I don’t want to wait pick someone else or go somewhere else! I thought that was rude and should have never been said to a paying customer. I never had a problem with anyone their Tina knows me very well she new I was coming from Toms River! The boss told me to go talk to Tina because she didn’t want to do my nails anymore I was very baffled Tina also told me that she was taking the other girl not me, so I asked why? She stated she was uncomfortable and I was complaining about her! I did nothing to make her feel uncomfortable but I did say I was waiting when I had a time slot. The boss then looked in the appointment book stated that I had an appointment with Tammy at 10:45 I said that’s not true because I called to make an appointment with Tina Sunday at 10:45 because Tina was booked all day Saturday so that’s why I took Sunday morning. Let’s say I had an appointment with Tammy at 10:45 I was there and they were all just sitting around I asked Tammy if she could do my nails she didn’t say anything now I find that very funny that she wouldn’t do them since my appointment allegedly was with her. Long story short they were all very unprofessional some thing has changed over the past few months because they don’t treat people right and they also rush doing their job I wouldn’t recommend this place to no one. once upon a time they were a great place to get everything done very good job took their time and cared about their customers now it’s different and they just don’t care.

This place is disgusting. I had an appointment set for 6pm that I made at 1pm I was told Sam had availability for the rest of the day. I get there I’m waiting for 25 minutes the receptionist tells me that Sam is leaving for the day. So I tell her well I need to see someone else because this is the only day I can come. Sam the person I had my appointment with then comes up to my and asks me why I didn’t schedule with another worker. I kindly told him because I cannot make it another day he then states that she doesn’t feel like doing my nails and walks away. What kind of service is this for a customer who comes regularly??
