I used to live in NYC where I went to a far superior nail salon for cheaper.I was told that the regular mani pedi was $40, but they charged my credit card $47 (even with tax it shouldn’t have come up to $47; and I tipped generously ($12) in cash). Unfortunately, I didn’t catch this at the time otherwise I would have raised questions. So, be careful with your payments. I had wonderful experience with that salon a couple of times and wanted to come back. BUT then I was told off (!) by young guy on the reception that I’m leaving small tips! This nail salon isn’t cheap and your bill can easily go up. I’m an adequate customer and willing to leave a tip for good service, but as a customer I’m not ready to hear complaints about the amount of money that want to leave as a tip. By the way I left tips in cash and the amount was ok comparing to the whole bill.
