My hair looked so bad that I had to go back to our room and do it myself. I would like my refund of 75$ because NO ONE should look as bad as I did!!!! Critical: Cleanliness, Professionalism, Quality, ValueI made an appointment, waited for 15 minutes after my appointment time. Finally some guy walks in, doesn’t even wet my hair and starts cutting. Was a horrible hair cut, very uneven, and one of my side burns was missing! I couldn’t tell until I left, because there was no mirror in this station. Come to find out this guy was a barber, they call in when they have men’s cuts. I made an appointment, waited for 15 minutes after my appointment time. Finally some guy walks in, doesn’t even wet my hair and starts cutting. Was a horrible hair cut, very uneven, and one of my side burns was missing! I couldn’t tell until I left, because there was no mirror in this station. Sarah Kim gave me a quick cut and styled it exactly how I asked. Great conversationalist and super sweet. Much aloha. Thank you to essence, awesome sister manning the appointment and call desk. She gave me a few names of products&treatments to help with unavoidable salt water straw hair. Didnt need to but she took the time to be so helpful, much appreciate. Super chill spot, gonna be my new go-to. Decent prices too. I paid 30 flat for the best haircut I’ve had in a while. Would’ve paid more! Thanks guys

We were on island from Oahu for my sons TKD tournament at the War Memorial Gym. We needed a place to get his hair cut since we ran out of time before flying out. His teammates said they got their haircuts their and theirs hair looked really good. We went in without an appointment and Daniel took us even though it was near closing time. He made my son feel on top of the world and his hair came out amazing. I must say the best haircut he has ever had. We keep joking that we will have an excuse to cost Maui more often for the haircuts. Thank you Daniel for the great haircut. My son was so happy he walked like ten feet taller for the next two weeks!!!

I was on Maui for a wedding in October. I needed to get my hair done for a wedding the same day of the wedding. I know, poor planning. I called Great Styles and Cuts and they set me up with an appointment 4 hours before the wedding. My stylist was Valerie and she was awesome! She was upfront and told me how the humidity would affect the curls I wanted but she helped find a way to give me the style I wanted. My hair looked great and I was so thankful I met Valerie. Thank you Valerie and Great Styles and Cuts for saving the day!
