the lovely lady who cut my hair today, I believe her name was Janelle, is the only hairdresser in Alaska who has ever done EXACTLY what I wanted! I had picture references and she made sure to explain to me how those haircuts we’re achieved, as well as asking lots of question to double check that was exactly how I wanted it, we ended up altering the cut a bit according to her suggestions and it was spot on, looks even better than my references! I have paid $40-$90 for a similar haircuts before, while they try to talk me out of what I want (I’m a female who likes edgier pixie cuts, they always want to make it more feminine), sitting in the chair for an hour and not really had the results I had hoped for, as well as the price being higher than I anticipated even after asking for quotes prior. I paid $20.50 today, when the sign quoted $20. And I was in the chair for max, 20-25 minutes? the longer I look at it, the more I love it, I will come back to Janelle specifically for sure.

The prices and promotions keep me a repeat patron. I love the fact that i can get an OK $12 haircut. Its often a long wait, and I’m not sure of the method to their madness regarding the reservations/appointments and walk in prioritizing. But i mean… if you need a haircut come get one they’re not the worst.

I told the lady to not touch the length in the front. The end of my haircut one side was way shorter than the other…that shouldn’thave been an issue because I told her don’ttouch the lengthin the front!!..so now I have super short hair. And it’s still UNEVEN.. She seemed like she was in a hurry. I will NEVER return. I WANT A REFUND!

Out of about 6 haircuts, I’ve only had 2 decent ones. I said short but not too short, definitely not like see through short. She said of course not that wouldn’t be good. Had 3 pictures as examples. And of course the sides are like a man’s very short cut. Totally see through a little more than half way up the sides. Ridiculous. The back is one inch long. The top is a bit longer. Like an old fashioned man’s haircut. I definitely won’t go back. The lady behind me looked as bad or worse. And her grow out looked nothing like that. I do NOT recommend them for shorter cut styles. Tired of them being so bad.

However. The last time I got a cut, the stylist at another location didn’t fade one side of my head and clipped it at a 1 all the way to the top. Like a Sheppard shearing sheep all the way to the top.India cut my hair today and took the time to go over what I wanted. Gave me some advice. Then told me exactly what she was going to do. She spent time on it to make it perfect. I scheduled another appointment for my son today to see her and I will only be seeing her from now on. If she’s unavailable I’ll just go to The Beauty Store and pay twice as much.A little tip. The girl who cut my hair was fantastic. I checked in online through the app so I had no wait which was nice. She cut my hair exactly how I asked the first time and made it looked fantastic. The price was great and overall my expectations were definitely met. Thanks Great Clips, I will definitely be back when I need my next cut and for my entire family.
