I came in for a trim on my long hair. The woman who was supposed to trim and layer up my hair made me feel incredibly uncomfortable and I left feeling really crummy. She complained the whole time about how horrible my hair was… it’s too long… it’s too damaged… it’s too tangled… even asked if I ever condition it very rudely. I really tried to chop it up to being the end of the day and maybe she was having a rough day, but I still feel really bad about the whole experience. I never get time to do things for myself… I have kids and just never do enough self care and I finally got a couple hours to myself and went to a place that should actually help you feel a bit more beautiful, but instead I left feeling like my hair was considered disgusting to someone. I only wanted a little trim but instead got a lot of huff and left feeling sad. I’ve never been to a hair place that’s made me feel and look not great. She also cut a lot off and left it uneven. Super disappointed. I felt like it was important to leave this review in hopes maybe she will be more kind with others.

Sat down women asked how much I wanted cut off said 1/2″. She starts cutting then as I look in the mirror I see pieces of hair on the front of my face down to to my chin. I asked her what she was doing, sge said those are bangs. Long and short. They were not bangs. She also sprayed my bangs to cut them and sprayed all over my face, mascara running. She got done and I said the right looks longer than the left. Before I could stop her she started cutting the left side. At that point I was barely civil. She tried to even out the other side and then started going after my bangs again. At that point I said we are done. During this time she kept looking at the other clients waiting. Someone later told me they are given 12 minutes to cut your hair. No idea if true. First time I went in a man cut my hair and did a great job but this woman had no business cutting hair. I won’t go back.

I checked in today to have hair cut. I mentioned I did online check in. She was an Asian (could be Chinese/Vietnamese/Cambodian/Japanese/Thai/Laos/Indonesian) and I’m Indian. Her look on the face when she saw me was like- why this Indian guy came here? I could sense from her face understanding subconsciously. I asked for scissor cut. She didn’t hear one bit and immediately took razor and asked my sides size and top size. I gave number and she cut it. Really unprofessional. I will never go over there. Period. This place sucks, for $28 I didn’t get the cut I wanted… The Asian guy that works there slacks at his job and did not listen to me when I told him what I wanted. My hair was four inches long and ask to cut an inch off, but he cut off 3 inches of it and never tapered my sides. I should’ve walk out and not pay. Awful job and I’m never going back.

Do not go to this place if you have long curly hair. They don’t seem to know how to cut long curly hair at all. I just went in for a walk In hair appt. My hair stylist made rude remarks to me while I was in the chair. She said, “I hope my day doesn’t go this way all day.” As I was her first client of the day. I felt this was just super unprofessional to say to a client let alone made me realize she had no experience on cutting long curly hair before.I will not be going back to this place ever again due to the lack of professionalism and rudeness from the hair stylist. The hair stylist also made me feel because, I have long natural curly hair it was an issue and it was such a hassle for her to do. This was by far the most horrible hair cut experience I have ever had. They lost a client and my recommendation to this place. Save your money don’t go here, especially if you have natural curly hair.

I have been getting my haircut at the Lake Stevens location for many years with great service. Unfortunately they changed their check in app which (1) sat at 11 min for about a half hour, on a 35 min check in wait time. After about an hour I just went in to check in. (2) Not sure if was app or not, but I didn’t exist in their system. And the topper that made me walk out was the stylist couldn’t even comprehend how to cut my hair after explaining it to her.
