Generally, my experiences at great clips have been positive ones (sweet people most of the time), except for today. I asked the stylist if she had any clorox wipes or a towel with water to try to clean up the chair before I was willing to sit down (was asking because I wanted to do that myself so she would not have to). I ended up leaving after the attitude became rude like I was evil for bringing up the problem (and after she tried to gaslight me into believing the chair was clean and asked if I wanted a haircut or not). Took my daughter in for a haircut before school started. Stylist took her to the seat but then was interrupted from another stylist coming from the back who was quite loud and dramatic about a recent paycheck she had received and where the overtime was and this tax etc.. I don’t understand why stylist wouldn’t say we can address these concerns when my client leaves.. or let’s set aside so time in private, but rather choose to go over everything at that moment while my daughter just sat there confused. .. Alexia the stylist, spend about 20-30 seconds total cutting my daughters hair.. never asked how it was parted or really how we wanted it cut. . When my 6yr old daughter said she was being too rough with combing, the stylist actually asked me to come front he waiting area and comb her hair.. I asked if she had any detangler or conditioner to maybe put in as I noticed the stylist was yanking through her hair and literally pulling out hair. So rough and nonchalant .. i should have just left then.. but did go back to my seat in time to be told ok she’s finished .. when I questioned the waves in her hair from the pony tail and if that was going to make the cut uneven, she said’no, that’s why we combed it’… I paid the $17 and left, never to return. I understand this is great clips and not much is to be expected, but the service and haircut was way below par.

I guess I have bad luck at this place. Tried it a few times with my family and we always get uneven hair. I was there last Sunday and I asked for short layers, I’m very disappointed with the outcome. My hair looks like one of my kids chopped it off.

I have never had a problem at this location in the 10 years I have been going there. Today I had a stylist who wasn’t wearing a name tag. I can only say she was a shorter brunette. She started to give me a dry cut. When I requested wet because i have thick hair that looks horribke when cut dry, she got an attitude saying she has been cutting hair for 23 years and wet hair tangles. I insisted. She then barely wet the hair and started aggressively cutting my hair which, suprise, caused tangles. I came home and the cut and layers are uneven and looks awful. I have graduation on Saturday and hopefully the cap will hide some of this. My first horrible experience here.
