Took my brother to get a haircut at Great Clips and he was impressed! We checked in using the App and it was about a half hr drive for us to get to Hays, so with a 34 min wait on the app, bg the time we got there, he got right in! He got a 1 on the sides and a 2 on top, they even warnee him it would be short and he agreed as he likes it that way. I’m sure this Great Clips will become his new salon. Convenient location right by WalMart! And he was only in the store maybe 30 mins before he came back out.

I think no places here braid hair I don’t know if they just don’t care to learn it or what it is but when I had asked the lady “do you guys to braid’s” she had asked what kind of braids (these braids are for my son) I said “ corn rows” and she no. Those are a “special” kind of Service and I was just laughing cause it’s not. It’s a hair style that all people can wear white or black and when I say I only know ONE hair salon that braids hair I mean I only know ONE. and that hair salon it’s self had never even done a full head of hair, and I just think as a black women I can’t get my hair or my sons hair done anywhere. And it ridiculous.

No complaints from me. They remember your previous haircut which is nice, the online check in is a good way to avoid the long wait times. Wait times can be pretty high somedays (60-70 mins) so I’d highly recommend checking in online.

Took in both my daughters. Did great on my oldest daughters hair. Her attendant was great. Gave my daughter exactly the cut she wanted. My 9 yr old was a different story. Her attendant gave no suggestion, asked no questions, and generally made the overall experience extremely lack luster. While my 9 yr old was happy and excited to get her hair done. That happy and excited turned into, and as my daughter explained the experience. ” it was ok “. Some of the stylists forget that repeat business from happy customers is more important then just pumping out droll and boring experiences, where instead of getting what you want. You accept what you got and still have to pay for it. One good attendant/stylist is not good enough for return business, or for me to recommend this place to anyone.

Mobile check in is fantastic. They have notes, so you always can tell the stylist what to do. Downfall is sometimes the notes can be interpreted differently and different stylists have different ways of doing the same thing. End result is sometimes your hair cut isn’t always the same even though they try.

They do a good job cutting my sons hair (which is coarser than mine as he is biracial) but they REFUSE TO CUT HARD PARTS OF ANY KIND. Ridiculous. When I find a REAL BARBER who is confident enough to do that, I won’t go here again. FAIR WARNING TO ANYONE AFRICAN AMERICAN – or anyone period that wants a hard or design part. NOT HAPPENING HERE!!!
