I had engagement photos booked and wanted someone to curl my hair. Originally, I had walked in to the Great Clips inside Schnuck’s on Mid Rivers. Two employees were standing around, no customers, and it had been that way for a while because I had been checking the online check in throughout the day. They told me they couldn’t help me, that I had to call for an appointment and they didn’t have any availability, despite a 0 min wait on the app. I walked out totally in a panic. I started calling around to any local place I could find.

I didn’t notice until we got home and he took his hooded jacket off to show his Momma but a basic trim turned into an 80s new wave cut. A boys trim isn’t supposed to be shaved on one side, feathered on the other and scalped. There was not a bald spot before the cut. Didn’t ever tell me about accidentally clipping him a new bald spot. Just a terrible cut in every way.

Crystal, (spelling could possibly be Krystal but I’m unsure) was hands down, the most amazing cosmetologist, I’ve ever gone to. Well, in this case, best one I’ve ever taken my 4 year old, autistic, son to. He usually doesn’t do well getting his hair cut. No matter who is cutting it, or what is surrounding him.. I’ve tried several other kid focused/only places, I’ve tried cutting it, and distracting him with the iPad.. and I’ve even tried other Great Clips before.. but this location was not only super friendly, and did amazingly on cutting his hair.. but they didn’t complain, or turn us away, or treat us rudely for showing up 16 mins before they closed.. I’ve never had such a great experience all around at a hair salon.. not to mention my son, who usually is unable to sit still entirely, bc it’s next to impossible for him, and I’m not kidding. (Sitting still is actually very uncomfortable for him usually and his body is never in a relaxed state except while he sleeps.) But he was so relaxed, and didn’t move almost the entire time. She also got him to laugh, and talk, and he also allowed her to do several other things without getting upset or frustrated which is huge for him!!! She really just blew me away. -Obviously! So, I had to share my experience as soon as we walked out of the door.. literally. Lol if you ever want exceptional service, she’s your girl.. and she will not disappoint I promise you that. Thanks for being so understanding, patient, and KIND, Crystal! You are a rare breed. We will be returning to have her cut his hair from here on out.

Great experience, It was so busy on Christmas eve I took my grandson, he is 2 yr old and autistic and I want to thank the wonderful women cutting his hair, she got down and really talked to him and made him feel better about each thing she was doing and she let me hold him and each time he about to start crying hysterically she was able to stop and show him what she was doing and it really calmed him down. I can’t thank you enough for taking the time and making our experience so wonderfu!
