I just had the worst experience at great clips. I’ve been getting my hair cut here for 3-4 years, and now I won’t be back. I was hesitant to even go today because Darcia my normal hairstylist had left great clips to move to another town. I really needed a haircut and thought I’d give someone else a try. When I went there I told my stylist (Jamie) I was scared and nervous because I usually only get a trim and didn’t want to loose all my hair growth process. She seemed annoyed about the praise I gave Darcia and told me “you’ll be fine”. While getting my haircut there was two other stylist in the back arguing over who’s gonna take the next customer, making rude remarks to each other and mocking one another like children. After my haircut was complete I will say I was satisfied, she listened and only cut half an inch, but once I got to the counter to pay it was another story. Jamie said my total was 21$, my haircut is always 7$, I was a little shocked. I asked why it was so much if I only got a trim and she immediately turned into a Karen and said these have always been our prices! I told her I got a trim not a full haircut and she goes I don’t know what to tell you these are our prices nothing I can do! I always tip the stylist 10$ and leave. Today I was forced to hurry up and pay and sent out the door with an attitude. I will not be back to this childish business. It went down the drain the moment they lost Darcia.

I took my 2 sons for hair cuts and my youngest had a nice stylist that gave him a clipping of hair. He went to pick up hair from his brother’s cit and the stylist, Kelly, said, “gross, out that down, you’re DISGUSTING” which made my 5 year old cry. When I asked.her to apologize to him afterwards, she responded, “I’m sorry that your son is unsanitary.”

This was my first and last visit to not-so-Great Clips. I have partially curly and partially straight shoulder-length hair. I was given a dry cut that looked even in the salon but was ragged after I washed my hair the next day. I’m not impressed and will go back to Cost Cutters, where they know how to handle my hair type and have better prices.
