jameel at the location on Grand River by Wholefoods literally ruined my hair for at least a year. I went in and asked for basically a trim and he refused to listen to what i wanted and cut off nearly 4 inches of my hair. He then gaslit me and told me that he had to because “that’s what i wanted” and kept cutting after i told him to stop several times. on top of this he was extremely rude about the whole thing. I have never had an experience worse than this and because of him i will probably never come back. I normally wouldn’t do this but I don’t feel anyone else deserves to be punished for getting a haircut.

The foreign man that was cutting hair in there today really didn’t seem to listen to what I wanted and just did what he thought was best. He did not take the time to cut in all my layers properly. He chopped off almost 4 inches of my hair (over a years worth of growth) when I asked for a trim, one inch off or whatever was necessary for damage (maybe an inch and a half) and yet the top layer of my hair is still the same length, he only spent maybe 15 or 20 minutes on my haircut and didn’t blend anything despite that being one of my biggest requests. He told me if he only cut an inch off it wouldn’t be even with this one piece in the back and i told him I don’t care, it’s curly so it’s not noticeable so long as there’s layers and I want to grow it out. When he showed me in the mirror I just said thanks and left for fear of him removing more, and then he tried to sell me products from the front.
