If I had the option of 0 stars, I would put 0 stars. I I am not happy after seeing how bad my haircut looks. It looks like hot garbage. I showed them a picture the hairstyle I wanted. They cut it way too short and they left one side longer than the other. I should have read the reviews before going there. I made a horrible mistake. I always wear a hat around because I am embarrassed.

Every other Great Clips location I’ve been to, I ask for a ½” haircut (because that’s the minimum length that covers an ugly scar on the back of my head) and that’s what they give me. At this location, they gave me a buzz cut, and then insisted that that’s what “half an inch long” means. The person who cut my hair seems to have no idea what they’re doing (or what the difference between an inch and a millimeter is). Worst haircut I’ve ever had, and now I guess I’ll have to wear a hat wherever I go until my hair can grow out for a few weeks. Extremely frustrating.

I should have read the reviews for this location prior to coming so I could have avoided it. I brought my 2 girls to get their hair cut. They rushed through their haircut and were finished in under 5 minutes. The one lady was condescending to me and implied that I do not take care of my daughter’s hair. When I asked to have a little more trimmed off the lady acted impositioned by my request. I know there is not much to a child’s haircut but I think someone can spend more than 3 mins on a haircut and be professional. Also, my daughter is 4 so to think she would not have some knots in her hair is really ridiculous.

I came in first thing one morning and Tanya cut my hair. I came home and styled my hair and was super, super pleased with my haircut. Tanya listened to what I asked for and I got exactly what I was envisioning (but probably better because I have had bad haircuts before… haven’t we all!!) As long as I am in the Metro Detroit area, Great Clips in Berkley is where I’ll go, and I’ll ask for Tanya. She was super friendly, genuine, approachable, down to earth, and didn’t just cut my hair, she created a relationship. Good convo is nice these days. 🙂 Thank you so much! Also, the managerial staff was incredibly kind, too. 🙂

Do not go. November 17th at 6:10 p.m.. Because I had a little trouble getting here, the hair dresser (older lady) proceeded to admonish me on how it was unfair to others to be in the computer longer than 15 minutes. As an individual, I do not expect this. As a POC, and a minirity I’m apalled. I do not come to the hair dresser to be schooled in etiquette. I expect to be treated fairly. If she needed to remove me from the computer, that’s fine. Telling me it was unfair tells me she did not want my business. My English was fine. I offered to come back another time. I also apologized. She kept going on. At which point I left. I do not want to have my hair cut where I am seen as an intrusion and not a source of the hair stylists livelihood. I’ve never been so chastized in front of other customers like this in my life. Just this Great Clips. I’ve always had good experiences at other Great Clips. P.s. only 4 people on the waiting list and only 1 customer (father+son) waiting.

Clawson and Southfield were bad and I would never go back, but Berkley was the worst haircut hands down I have ever gotten. I could have done a better job myself and I have no hair talent whatsoever.
