Took my 10 year old son for a haircut and he received the fastest and worst service we’ve ever encountered. He had a picture of what he wanted, but Haley was done with his hair in less than 10 minutes and left him with terrible clipper lines in his hair and nothing of what he asked for. They immediately locked the door behind him and closed.

Critical: Professionalism, Quality, ValueTerrible!! Never going back!! I tried to take my son for a haircut on his 5th birthday at the Great Clips here in Angola, IN. He is autistic and has sensory issues. Despite practicing with the mask, he can’t and won’t wear one. They REFUSED to let him in for the hair cut! Even though I wore a mask like they asked. It was the FIRST time any where that someone was so NOT understanding. I was livid. And yes, of course I explained. Terrible!! Never going back!! I tried to take my son for a haircut on his 5th birthday at the Great Clips here in Angola, IN. He is autistic and has sensory issues. Despite practicing with the mask, he can’t and won’t wear one. They REFUSED to let him in for the hair cut! Even though I wore a mask like they asked. Critical: QualityI provided three pictures indicating the hairstyle I wanted. She should have said she couldn’t do it instead of saying that she could. Destroyed my hair, looks nothing like I asked for. Left crying, and still had to pay full price. Said I was unhappy with the haircut and the stylist made excuses on why it turned out how it did. Halfway through the haircut when I was telling her that I wasn’t liking it so far and if she could not cut it so short she got grumpy. And continued to cut my hair shorter. Critical: ProfessionalismThis was our first time at this location, and after our experience, will not ever return.After waiting 2 hours for my husband and son to get appointments, which isn’t the issue, as I love the wait time reminder, my husband took the seat. His hair is very coarse and he asked me to look at the clipper cut when the stylist said she was done, as we have had lines and spot issues in the past where his head has a divot. I pointed these out to the stylist, in which she hmphf’d and would not fix it. I ended up rebuzzing his head at home, as it wasn’t “just the way his hair is” which is what she told me. Moving on to my son, she asked about his cut, which I proceeded to tell her how the other Great Clips we use cuts his hair. She rolled her eyes and make a rude “phf” noise which I took as her not caring how his hair was cut, even though she asked. She then proceeded to cut his hair how she saw fit, and low and behold, you can see all of the cut marks and it looks butched rather than blended. Then was time to pay, and I had some coupons from another location, which they said I couldn’t use, but they would do something else for me. I then questioned the final pricing, as my son is 10. She said he is an adult so we charged him that way rather than for a child cut. She made a big deal about correcting the extra $2 that I was overcharged, so I just said I would pay for it so I could get out of there with some of my dignity. I handed her some $1 bills as part of my payment, to which she commented “you are a waitress huh”. I am not, and there is nothing wrong with being a waitress, just the tone in which she said it was a dig at me personally. I then had given her a small tip, though not as large as I normally do since she was rude. She threw it to the side and rolled her eyes. I will be following up with the store manager, as I am certain that is not how they would like their location to be remembered.
