We have been using Great Clips in Portage for a few years for both my husband and son. We recently moved closer to another location and gave it a shot…We won’t do that again It’s Portage Great Clips for us. Carla IS ALWAYS Wonderful with my son’s semi textured thick hair and always Asks if we are good with it. Today we let him get a shampoo as an extra treat and He told her she was a 13/10. We have to agree!

Worst experience EVER at this business. Never will I return here! Carla has the worst attitude I’ve ever encountered with. She took my childs hair out of her bun and said it was matted and wanted to charge me an extra $20 or that I can leave and brush my childs hair. I asked her for her brush and brushed my childs hair in less than 60 seconds she was just LAZY and wanted to hurry and get through everyone. Said the website wasn’t up to date and she can charge $20 to brush my childs hair. I will never return here. I didn’t catch the girl who did my daughters hair but she was very patient with her and did a wash for her like she wanted! CARLA Ruined my daughters first hair cut experience!

Not all Great Clips are the same in quality but this one is a keeper. My hairstylist listened to my likes and delivered a full fine haircut that prompts me to come back again. Thanks for the nice cut. It really means a lot to me.

Several times of going to this place, they constantly manage to find new ways to mess up my hair. This last time was the final straw as I had provided pictures of myself with that haircut previously, and only needed them to cut it to the right length..what I got was hair that was way too short, poorly shaped, and overall just terrible looking. These people only know how to do extremely basic haircuts that you could do at your own house, anything slightly specific and they send you home with hair that you don’t show for weeks by covering it with a hat.

My husband took our grandson for a haircut today. Nothing difficult, a number two on the sides and a num 3 on top. They just got home, the top is completely uneven! The crown and very front is longer than the rest of the top. The sides over his ears are uneven. He has strays sticking out everywhere. The sides look more like a 3 was used and the back a 2. Just horrible. I would have never walked out with him looking like that but my husband never speaks up. I never write reviews but I had to. Jeanne was who did this, I hope she reads this and takes better care of the next little boy who needs a haircut.

The online check in is interesting. You check in, it tells you how long your wait is, on two different occasions it booted me off as if I hadn’t checked in online. I had to call when we were on our way over. Overall we got in cause other people didn’t show up.
