I went for haircut and I told them at my solders length. They actually shaved my neck. 9 inches of my hair was cut off. The The butcher who did could not shut up long at all and talked about her carpel tunnel. She had multicolored scissors and my was a buthered mess. Please tell me you are sorry for it as I have read many of the complaints. I will never go there again and I will never tell anyone to go there ever because of the quality that was given me. What a mess I have to deal with for several months until it grows enough to actually have a real professional cut my hair. What a poor place of business. Very poor professionalism.

If I could leave a negative review, I would. I asked to get dead ends trimmed and get layers. My hair was butchered. I’ve spoken to a manager and corporate and haven’t gotten anywhere. Here’s my before and after. My hair was longer than it had been in years. Not only was is all cut off, but it was so lopsided, uneven and just hacked to pieces.

Absolutely horrible experience, I showed them a picture of how I had my hair in the past. Not only is it way shorter (wanted shoulder length, got two inches above) it is also completely uneven in the back. The layers were done so badly my hair looks like it’s been butchered. Now it’s going to be months of growing it out just to get it fixed.

Got myself and my family’s hair cut here multiple times. We tried to stay positive and we would choose Great Clips if our barber wasn’t open. Each and every time if someone wasn’t getting a fade or burr cut, they messed it up. Any girl hairstyle got butchered and it just looks like a total amateur cut it. There are many factors that go into personal experience; but this is an every time thing. It’s like they’re rushing you out the door it seems. Because Great Clips in both Mt Sterling and Morehead get quite a bit of business. It’s like for most longer cuts and styles they’ll chop it up real quick to move you. Sometimes the vibes in either location aren’t too well but often times the experience is typical and there’s nothing wrong with typical customer service. One time in the Morehead location I was even verbally rushed out the door so the employees could go home a hair sooner. (I was last in the store) Found out when I got home that I had standing hair behind my ears. I feel like GC needs to scale back a bit and give every customer that good old fashioned barber experience. Be extra polite, take pride in what you do and be respectful. Focus on doing right by the customer and not just doing your job.

Lemme begin by saying the service is wonderful. Staff are friendly and pleasant. Chatty to a fault. The first trip was somewhat disappointing though. It’s possible that it’s only inexperience with US not in general. Certainly they are very capable and skilled. Please understand there is a very big distinction between not knowing our personal preference and not knowing the trade. 1st- we were a bit let down with the cut itself. 2nd- it was wildly expensive. Here, again let me say that it could be MY inexperience that is at fault here. For a 12 yr old boy to get a haircut was over 20$!! Why? Granted it won’t be the 7 bucks a pop I remember from my days of having hair. But 20? Typically cost 12$ at our regular spot. 3rd-time spent at the facility was way too long. Let me say that I mean this to have no disrespectful tones. I’m not trying to bash. Not hatin’. Just need to say that the focus on client should be paramount and the conversation with others limited. Constantly talking to people in the shop or on the phone kept the client in the chair for over an hour. For a slight fade with trim on top this is too long. 4/5 is not bad for a last minute scheduling addition. However, the rush that necessitated the patronage was made worse by time spent. Again, they’re good people. Just wasn’t satisfied fully

This was my son’s first haircut in a salon since the pandemic began. Our stylist throughly cleaned her equipment and sanitized the chair before my son sat down. She gave him a great haircut and dealt with his mask effectively. Great Clips is trying to keep their employees and customers safe.
