Great clips is a hair salon in the sense that they remove hair in some ordered fashion. That’s about it. Is it gonna be straight? Kinda. Is it gonna be even? Maaaybe. Will they remove your hair. Yes. Yes they will. The key is to manage expectations. For instance if you get a buzz with a finger length on top just know the sides won’t be blended well. If you get just a buzz then know that you’re probably gonna have to touch it up at home. It’s how this works. I know, I’ve been through it plenty. The best part is you pay nearly 20$ for it and they expect a tip. What? A tip? I’m priced out of great clips. I’ll give someone 30 to do a good job. Great clips used to know its place, it was cheap. That was the point. Sure your hair cut isn’t gonna be great but it’s 7 bucks. Now I don’t know what they’re doing. 17 bucks should atleast get me even sideburns.

Been to this location multiple times. Typically during my lunch hour because I’m only a few minutes away and they accept people during those times. Today, was just like any other visit. I checked in online. Got there and walked in. I was greeted and checked in. Got called up within a matter of seconds. This is where my experience took a turn. I was seated and the stylist that cut my hair was anything but pleasant. She took no care in how much pressure she applied to my head. She was grabbing my hair and moving my head around with no thought about how aggressive she was. She was nonchalantly cutting while using the clippers in any direction and flicking them as she cut. She sprayed me multiple times almost directly in the face with water. When it came to using the scissors she was just cutting the top of my hair like there was no thought or care behind the cutting. The only reason I didn’t complain is the fact I was on my lunch break and needed to get back to work. Just hope next time there’s more care put into it.
