Oh how I miss Fred and Tim’s barber shop in Tiftonia.. I go to great clips because where can one find a good men’s barber shop anymore? They are few and far between.. Great Clips is a corporate chain, and like anything a corporate chain touches the quality goes down and the price for the consumer goes up.. I dont think Ive had the same person cut my hair twice in a row ever at great clips, and so each haircut I get is different than the last even though it is the same type of haircut. The girls cutting the hair are sweet and friendly sure, and they do their best, and they are probably underpaid, overworked, and not respected or appreciated nearly enough for what they do. None of my gripes are with the great clips workers who cut hair.

A simple cut with stylist rarely making eye contact -repeating her same question, that obviously I didn’t answer to her point of clarity because I answered the same way and didn’t understand the repeat questions. professional but no warmth . store not busy, no name tag . If I hadn’t had better experience with other stylists I would not go back.

I have been wearing the same haircut since 2008 and have been going to this shop since they opened prior to that. I have been well taken care of until today. I look perfectly fine from the front but the new stylist obviously failed today. There are notes for a reason and clearly the number 4 guard was not used on the lower half of my head. Fortunately I can laugh about it with everyone else that has laughed about it as well. I paid for the haircut and gave a 35% tip because that is what I have always done. On the way home, I sent a pic to my wife. She laughed hysterically for a good 10 minutes and later apologized.
