Critical: Professionalism, Quality, ValueBefore I came to great clips, I called them to ask if I could reserve a time to come in and the lady on the phone said, “we don’t take appointments, it’s all walk-in.” So i drove 30 minutes away and came into the salon, and the first thing they asked me was, “did you check in online? There’s a waitlist and the current wait time is an hour.” So I told them I’d just check in online and I came back to my car and had to wait for an hour even though I was told that it was a walk-in salon and I couldn’t make any reservations. They could have AT LEAST told me there was a website for me to check in at to see the wait time before I drove out there. The whole reason I called before I came was to check if there was anything I could do to avoid the wait-time.I came in for my hair to be cut, which was the first time I’d gotten a haircut in 3 years. I got about 7 inches taken off and I had shown the lady a picture of the hairstyle I wanted and it seemed like she was willing to do it. She gave me a few layers at the bottom of my hair but then she acted like she was ready for me to leave. I was wanting more layers throughout my hair, but it ended up looking like all she did was cut it straight across and that was it. She never asked me if I wanted anything else done, she just said “I like it. I don’t think we need to do anything else to it,” so I just accepted it and left. My hair ended up looking nothing like the picture I had shown her. Not to mention everyone was very cold to me. The environment was more like a corporal business rather than a hometown hair salon. I picked up on the fact that 90% of people who come to this salon are elderly people who come once a month to get a trim, so no wonder they weren’t willing to put in a little extra effort on my hair or to make my experience a little better since I’m not a regular customer. I highly recommend that you do not visit this hair salon. I’m sure that any other salon in the area is better than this one.Just a note: the ONLY service they provide are haircuts. Before I came to great clips, I called them to ask if I could reserve a time to come in and the lady on the phone said, “we don’t take appointments, it’s all walk-in.” So i drove 30 minutes away and came into the salon, and the first thing they asked me was, “did you check in online? I’ve noticed that most of the negative reviews are from people who don’t understand Covid restrictions, or don’t understand that you WILL wait for a haircut. I’ve always had a great experience at the Great Clips in Manchester, TN, and it’s $10 less expensive than my previous salon for a haircut. I’ve noticed that most of the negative reviews are from people who don’t understand Covid restrictions, or don’t understand that you WILL wait for a haircut. The people who work there have nothing to do with that.

Critical: Professionalism, Punctuality, ValueWalked in, asked for a razor cut. Two stylists had a discussion as to who could/could not do it. (Did not know how) was told that if I had curly hair it would make it frizzy. Then the stylist that was to do my hair proceeded to the back where she stayed for almost 35 minutes. I walked out. I am an experienced cosmetologist with 20 years experience, let me just leave it at that. I will be cutting my own hair and keeping the 100.00 I was more than willing to give the young lady.
