The service was great, I got a seat as soon as I walked in, my hair stylist Kia was pleasant and experienced. She did a great job cutting my hair by just looking at a picture of the style I wanted, I have been growing my hair for six months, and Great Clips was a great place to get it cut for the new year. I went in last summer and forgot to post a review because I was too upset…. I went in for a trim and asked the stylist not to touch the area around my face because I only trust myself to cut it. Then, chop! There goes a random chunk! I had to go to another salon to have all of my long hair cut short to make up for this chunk. She didn’t wet my hair or anything and had me in and out in less than 20 minutes. Never going back to this location

Was visiting family from out of town and decided to chop off my hair that was in the middle of my back. Went in to get a haircut to make my hair even and upon entering the establishment I was immediately informed “this is not a barber shop” being a stylist for over 20 years that has worked in several hair cutting chains, I cut any texture of hair in any style the customer preferred while working in said chains. After asking the stylist if he had clippers and informing him I just wanted a #8 all over, he agreed to cut my hair. I had to ask for a neck strip to be placed before the cape was applied and had to point out areas of my hair that was missed. I asked for a shape up in the back that followed the natural M of my hairline, I was told he didn’t know how to do a design. As a hairstylist thumbs down for service and approach. 2 stars because the establishment appeared clean…would I visit again..hmmm let’s just say I’ll go ahead and spend the 70+ dollars on a pair of clippers and cut my hair myself.

If I could give 0 stars I would!!! I came in to get a haircut with my husband who is black. The asian lady at the desk asked me what I wanted to get done and I replied “ I just need a fade”. Then she rudely answered pointing at the pictures on the wall “This is all the haircuts we do, we’re not the barber!” I was puzzled by her reaction because this is where I got my initial haircut. She kept repeating “I’m just telling you what we do here”. When I asked her again if she means they can’t cut my hair, that’s when she clarified that she thought my husband who 1)did not even say anything since he walked in with me and 2) again who is black – needed a haircut and she was telling him that they don’t cut his type of hair because “they’re not the barber”. I was dumbfounded by this stereotyped and RACIST reaction to my husband who didn’t even address you! Needless to say, I will never be back again and will never send anyone there either. Such a disgrace!

I was not expecting great service, but it was excellent. I don’t know if you would get the guy who cut my hair, but he was great: friendly, efficient, paid attention to what he was doing. Which is more than what I could say when I frequent other locations of this chain.

Great place to get your hair cut… not that it is there fault directly, but lack of ADA compliance is the worst shopping center in Midtown. Few spaces, curb cuts missing, even crosswalks were never done. Landlord is grossly negligent.
