I went to Great Clips on Raleigh Road in Wilson today for my normal trim. I was lucky enough to get a stylist named Toni and she was phenomenal. She suggested adding layers and framing my face and when she found out I was going to a fancy fundraiser she also styled it for me. She made some suggestions on products to help add volume to my fine soft hair. I was blown away by the difference she made in my hair style. She was very upbeat and happy which just made my visit that much better. Thank you Toni! You are the best.

I’ve been going here for a while now because it doesn’t require an appointment. My experience today was terrible. My barber Cathy acted as if it was her first time cutting a man’s hair. I asked for my normal which they claim they put in the computer. I reminded her (like I always have to at this place) that I wanted a fade. She proceeds to cut my hair and then shows it to me as if she’s done. There’s no fade which I knew there wasn’t based on how she was cutting it from the start. I remind her that I wanted it faded and she states “that’s a Zero not a one”. I said okay well that’s what I want. She then says “well say something next time” in a laughing way. I then say “I did”. She proceeds to do the fade in a rough way as if she’s mad that I reminded her. When she finishes, she shows me my head. I see a place where she didn’t even it up in the back so I remind her about that. She makes up an excuse and says that’s how my neckline grows. I tell her that I want it even so she proceeds to even it. Again, she’s being rough as if she’s mad to the point where my neck is super red and burning. Once she’s done, she checks me out with an attitude.

Toni was great! We spoke about the NFL. Turns out the shop does not like Tom Brady, the greatest QB that is currently alive! It was fun and haircut turned out great. Very personable and hospitable. Respectful and courteous with a southern vibe. Very busy as soon as it opens. Missed the line and had to chill. Small seating area but everyone is friendly. No military discount no more for this location or franchise. Had a great time.

Wonderful experience, my wife and I got our cuts today, staff wearing masks keeping us safe. Spotless store, welcoming staff, I just can’t say enough about how nice this was. Please consider this location for your next cut or coloring and tip extra generous because you saved so much not getting it cut regularly. Normally I tip 25%, today 125% to make up for 5 months. After all, we are supporting our fellow Americans!
