I’ve been to this location multiple times in the past and I have always had a good experience, but after today’s experience, I will never be back. I asked for a simple haircut– a few inches off, straight across, with face framing layers. Debbie was my hairstylist and she had issues cutting my face framing layers; they were very choppy and unblended. I asked her if she could even it out, which she attempted to do, but she had trouble with it. The other hairdresser working at the time had just finished her working on her client and she overheard and came over, and she showed Debbie how to overdirect the hair in order to blend the layers, which made it look better.

Hands down the best damn men’s haircut at any price in all of Chapel Hill! And it makes no difference which of these friendly ladies cuts your hair. They’re all skilled and experienced at what they do. In this town you can pay $60 for a $16 haircut or you can come to Meadowmont and get a $60 haircut for $16.00. A no brainer! Haircut

I just want to state that the ladies are very nice and Im being level headed in my review. Ever since the pandemic hit I’ve just needed neck trims since I cut my own hair now. I’ve come to this location 3 times and not once have I left satisfied. I always ask for a squared neck and Ive left with a rounded edge, a trapezoidal edge (not exaggerating), and today I was charged 16 (full haircut price) for an actually squared edge. Its my own fault for giving them a second and third chance I suppose but this was the nail in the coffin for me. I’m aware of possible miscommunication but I’d be a fool to come back.

We have used this salon with varying success. The most recent visit ended with my decision to walk out of this salon prior to service . The stylist was rude and proceeded to explain they they were “not a full service salon” and that we did not underestand the “protocol”. What? We just needed a shampoo, dry and flat iron. If I could give negative stars I could. A simple “I’m not interested in styling her hair” would have sufficed.
