Lesson learned. Don’t trust anyone who says “are you sure you want it shaved to a number 1” before she cuts your hair. Should’ve walked out then. Anytime someone questions what I want it’s probably gonna turn out bad and this wasn’t an exception. I said to keep the top long cause I’m growing out the top while still shaving the sides, number 1 to number 2 fade on the side top long. Just trim off the split ends on top. Showed her pictures too. I got home and looked at it and she didn’t keep it long at all. Picture attached of what i showed her (as in what I got last time) vs. How it turned out. It looks fine, it’s a fine haircut, just not what I asked for. It feels like instead she just gave me a basic pixie. That I had to fix myself and be disappointed because now I’ll have to grow the top out for 6 months again to get the length back. I was working to eventually be able to put the top in a little pony tail like a “man bun style”, but she ruined that goal for another year. They also normally part the long part and put the long part up, shave the sides, then trim the long part. She didn’t part my hair or put it up. I didn’t say anything because I thought oh she must be really good if she doesn’t have to put my hair up. No it’s because she didn’t understand what I wanted and didn’t spend enough time looking at the photos I was trying to show her.

Walked out without getting my haircut. I read lips because I’m partially deaf. I wear a hearing aid in one ear and a cochlea implant in the other. The lady refused to accommodate me. I’m vaccinated and was 6 feet away and repeatedly told her I read lips.

Critical: Professionalism, QualityCalled ahead to see the wait time and the women I spoke with was very nice and professional. It made me excited to go. Unfortunately I did not get that women. The women I got Sheema, didn’t seem to be in a good mood, cut my hair using one hand instead of both.. By doing that, she would press the non sharp side of the scissors against my neck when cutting, which was uncomfortable and at times hurt. It felt like she didn’t care, rushed, and did not want to be there. Made me feel very uncomfortable and not easy to communicate my wants about my hair to her. She ended up taking way more off the back then I wanted/asked for. She also did not cut my bangs correctly, when I got home and brushed it, I had to cut my bangs myself because she missed long pieces. Definitely regretting going here, but I was desperate to fix a previous Hair Cuttery issue. My stylist came across as not caring or that she even cared about her job. She went as far as calling me over by gesturing with her index finger, instead of greeting me by name, like I’m some kind of dog or child. My cut was shorter than I asked for, and felt like I was completely ignored during our “consultation” if you can even call it that. Budget cuts, mediocre stylist, and definitely why paying extra to go to a real stylist is probably the route you should take.
