I went to the location by Michael’s for a trim. I had last visited 8 weeks ago leaving with a style i really liked. When i arrived for this recent visit, i showed the stylish 2 pictures of the style i wanted and told her that i wanted my ears cut out and the back shortened. The previous stylish had offered these options 8 weeks ago but i declined then. This lady destroyed my hair, she cut it so short its clearly not what i showed her or what i wanted. Its going to take me months to grow out my hair and who knows how long to get back what i wanted. While there she was rude and complaining about how busy the store was even to people that the called.

Very unprofessional. This store closes at 7pm. I showed up at 6:42pm, walked in and they asked me if I signed in online. I did not and they informed me that they close at 7pm and could not cut my hair. There was 1 single customer waiting for a haircut. The 2 women working there that night are not customer service oriented at all, which is a shame because that is very important in the haircut industry. I have shown up to other locations just before close and it was not a problem. Obviously they could have cut my hair but did not want to and it showed. I get a military haircut and it takes about 5 minutes or less to cut my hair. Very annoyed by this experience.

Both times I went here with two different stylist both Of the haircuts fricking hurt. Clippers were not sharp or aligned right and the it was just rough both times. Got a decent haircut the second time but I don’t think I’m headed back to Tollgate location.

My hairstylist was a little rough even after I’d made her aware of it. She also reeked of cigarette smoke, which was kind of making me nauseous. I honestly couldn’t wait to get out of there and probably won’t go back.

We went in for a kids haircut. The girl who cut my son’s hair had an attitude from the second she asked us to come back, she was super condescending and borderline yelling at my 1 year old to look down / not look around the entire time. He wasn’t crying, being bad, or anything, was just curious and wanted to look around (he is 1..he’s a baby. They shouldn’t offer kids cuts if they can’t handle them), which I get makes it harder to cut and I was doing my best to keep his focus on me in front of him. It got to the point that I started looking around at the other hair dressers because I was so uncomfortable with how loud she was getting and irritated she was getting. I called my husband over to try to help me keep my son’s attention and she immediately changed her attitude. Started talking super sweet to my baby telling him how great he was doing, making jokes with my husband, etc. It was such an uncomfortable experience and I felt extremely unwelcome. It was really offensive that she was being so rude to both my baby and me and as soon as he came over and was in front of her and then she starts acting totally different. The haircut is fine but I will not be returning.

I have had mixed results here before, mostly good cuts. The prices are good, as is booking ahead. The reason for my low rating is I went to get a haircut this week and ended up walking out because none of the stylists had masks on. Employees at most other businesses around here wear them, so I would think at a place where they get right up next to your face they would. I especially find it ironic they turned down someone’s two year old for not wearing a mask five months ago per another review.
