Kinda disappointed. I’ve been to this location once before and I don’t remember who did the cut but she had really curly hair and did great. I went back a few days ago and had a different person cut it. She was really friendly but after getting home and looking at the cut it doesn’t look great. The layers are uneven and some are even just straight across. I added a photo for reference.

I won’t come back to that store never ever!!! Today, I took my son to the shop, the barber a (girl) looks 3rd generation age, while she is trimming the hair of my son, she was keeping asking me (as international student), why did I come here and what will I do after I get the certificate .. etc; I was upset from the way she asked me. The way she was asking was unfriendly at all. The hair trimming took almost less than 6 minutes. After she finished, she even didn’t even use the hair blowing air to clean up the trimmed hair on my son’s shirt. She just left on the counter desk and said here is the payment!! I took my 4 years old son and went to pay. After I paid, she asked my that “why you didn’t add some tips”!!! Then, I left after I paid.

Most of the time I love my haircut at GREAT CLIPS. A few days ago I checked in to discover the stylist, J, who I would rather avoid, was my only choice! In the past my daughter often would help me straighten bangs and clips spots that J had missed. I was surprised to see J and she shared with me that she just returned from working at a private salon for about 18 months. Once done she showed me an okay cut. My hair was still damp and once that I got home, my hair was dry. My family was shocked to see an uneven and hacked mess. My advice, is that if they don’t do a good job, avoid then. It will be worth the wait for the next chair to open up.

I came and checked in with a nice lady, and thought she had said “come sit down” so I started to follow her and I was yelled at to sit and wait by a different hair dresser for the simple mistake. She did not simply correct me, she instead decided to yell at me for absolutely no reason.

My review is 1 star because I told the woman cutting my son’s hair that we were growing his hair out and needed a little maintenance trim to even out the back of his hair with his side. I told her he’s been growing his hair since November and that we are working on getting it long. She went ahead and gave him a full-on hair cut, cutting all his long locks. Then after I expressed my frustration with the fact that she did not follow my directions she charged me for the haircut. I’m beyond frustrated with my experience at Great Clips and will never go back.

It is the cheapest salon you can get in State College. I have curly hairs and they definitely not so great for curly haircuts. But as much I understood, they are good for normal haircuts like layer and steps. You can live with that if you want something in cheap! Not bad, not so good either.

Don’t recommend at all. Made an online appointment. Came in and they couldn’t do what I wanted which was a wash a style. They said they had no time. Very rude. Wouldn’t look at your face. They can only do the most simple things.

Would be nice if the hours online was right was looking on google for kids cuts on a Sunday and it said this was open till 5pm and drove here (45min drive) for it to say closed Sunday on the doors.
