Critical: ProfessionalismI was waiting for a haircut yesterday and one of the stylists was extremely rude to an older Hispanic couple that was attempting to sign in. She raised her voice and refused to enter them into the system without providing a new phone number, then she walked away from them to clean her station saying “I can’t deal with this right now”. After the couple left without getting signed in, she said to her co-worker, “if you are in this country you should speak the language”. Bound Brook, NJ has a thriving Hispanic population so there should be no surprise that customer-facing businesses will encounter issues such as this. I left without getting a haircut after calling out the employee for her treatment of the couple.Update : The company reply is a “generic” response and NOT from the owner. I had already contacted customer support via email before I posted the Google Review. I was able to locate the name of the Salon franchise owner (Joanne McDonald) but I have not heard from her at all since this happened. In fact, I heard from a “manager” named Heather who offered me a free haircut at that same salon on a day when the particular worker was NOT working or at another nearby location owned by Joanne. I told her I wanted to hear from the salon owner but was told the owner has managers in place so they don’t need to deal with customer complaints like this. I was waiting for a haircut yesterday and one of the stylists was extremely rude to an older Hispanic couple that was attempting to sign in. She raised her voice and refused to enter them into the system without providing a new phone number, then she walked away from them to clean her station saying “I can’t deal with this right now”.
