I can’t justify spending a fortune on a haircut. I’ve felt this way for awhile now. It’s hair, it needs to be cut and I don’t require anything fancy- just a clean salon, a sharp pair of scissors, and someone who knows how to use them. In my entire time on this earth thus far, I’ve really only had one nightmarish hair salon experience and that’s when the stylist took it upon herself to dispose of my request for bangs “like the photo,” and instead indulge her unsolicited creative whim to give me Cleopatra bangs. That was bad. Really bad. So so bad. Many tears, many weeks of growth to regain composure. Anyway, I had put off a haircut for an obscene amount of weeks and finally was left with no choice but to get those raggedy dead ends chopped off. I decided to try Great Clips. Good choice. Despite the client load, I was seen quickly by a sweet stylist, Christina, who got the job done for an excellent price. This salon is clean, they have a nice array of hair products, and they have a promo going on for Veterans as well, which I think is awesome. If you are searching for a no frills, clean salon with a pleasant staff, I recommend this place. I don’t have the stomach for pretentious salons with pretentious stylists who charge an arm and a leg for a cut, so I am glad I found Great Clips in Denville. Plenty of parking and you can grab a bite at Moe’s after your haircut if you fancy, since it’s located in the same shopping plaza. Walgreens is there too! Convenient!

Showed the lady a picture of Audrey hempburn pixie cut. She razored the back of my hair like a man’s then cut an additional 4 inches off the top. Looks absolutely nothing like the picture I came out looking like a man. Asked for a wash and cut she said we don’t wash hair bc we are short staffed. WTH? Bad very bad experience. Never sectioned off my hair just started cutting. My hair will now have to grow at least 6 months to even begin to look like the pixie I showed her. Every time I’ve used this salon I’ve had an issue. Don’t know her name she never told me but, she has long dyed red hair with a white streak around her face. Stear clear of her if you come here for a cut. I can’t believe she has a license to cut hair. She horrible. Now I have to walk around looking like a man until it grows out. And, my hair goes slowly. Not happy. If I could give you negative stars I would. My experience was a negative 1 million stars. I should sue.

Store has become chronically understaffed, creating intolerable wait times daily for the entirety of this month. Walk in check in is impossible for individuals who’s schedules and location doesn’t allow them to show up more than 2 hours before closing time, and online check in often gets cut off before 3:00 in the afternoon. There’s no shortage of barbershops and hair salons in this area, and this one is neither the most convenient nor the most affordable anymore.

They give a worst haircut for men. The staff is friendly but they are always in a hurry to increase turnover. They want to finish the haircut for men as soon as possible as it is a great money maker with minimal effort. I and my dad both went there to get an haircut. We tipped generously (40%) but not going there ever again as the service is worse than a home haircut with a hair trimmer.

I decided to try out hair places in the area for my next haircut, so went here for the first time. Although the people I know had had bad stories about this place, (they would tell me how the hairdresser would cut it too short for their preference, or miss spots) I still wanted to give it the benefit of the doubt. I definitely should have listened to them. The customer service was good, but like my friends, my hairdresser cut it too short and the final cut was not like the style I asked for. Sadly, I will not be coming here again.
