Positive: ProfessionalismI have never written a salon review before but on a whim I went to Grandlux yesterday and man I felt like I got the VIP treatment. They told me up front the were busy and asked me to come back after 30 minutes and I happily did so. I got acrylics and a pedicure and the staff was just so amazing and detail oriented! They gave me 15% off since it was my first time there and it will not be my last! I have never written a salon review before but on a whim I went to Grandlux yesterday and man I felt like I got the VIP treatment. They told me up front the were busy and asked me to come back after 30 minutes and I happily did so. I got acrylics and a pedicure and the staff was just so amazing and detail oriented! They gave me 15% off since it was my first time there and it will not be my last! They did such an amazing job!

Love this place! All my experiences at other nail salons have been lacking so this was a nice change of pace. Jenny did such a great job taking care of me; not only did she cut my cuticles, she tidied up all the dead skin around my nails, massaged my arms and hands, and retouched/filed my nails to make sure it all looked good. There was a great attention to the small details. One thing that made me feel secure in the business cleanliness was seeing the cuticles tools being taken out of sterile packs. Jenny also offered me water and informed me about the wear and tear of gels. 10/10 , will be coming back!

Update: I returned today for another dip manicure. Rhonda did a great job and was very detailed. My one gripe and the reason I lowered my rating is because I was charged for extra long nails and special shaping for the nails in the attached image. I do not think this set qualifies as either. I had budgeted to get dip with tips plus tipping so with these extra charges I was unable to tip Rhonda .

Typically this place is GREAT. However on Sunday the service was below par, and the obsessive need to bother me to pay for my nails, plus my mother and daughters was ridiculous. I wasn’t even finished, I’ve been here several times and pay without any issues. Literally the lady doing my nails stopped so I could pay for the 3 of us. Then when they wanted me to sign the slip my nails weren’t completely dried and of course messed up. I have no problems paying my bill and tipping well. But the fact that this is becoming common at this location makes me reconsider if it’s the right salon. The young man that runs the front appeared to be in a really bad mood, barely spoke and when asked a question seemed annoyed. I get it, we all have bad days, but if as a customer I’m coming in and paying for 3 sets of nails I do expect somewhat of a pleasant experience and this one by far was the worst I’ve experienced there. Hopefully next time will be better…

I’m so happy with my nails. I don’t get my nails done very frequently. They were very transparent about the pricing and made sure to put me with a tech who had the skill to do what I wanted. Helen listened to all my requests and made sure I was happy with the shaping and color before moving on with anything. I was so happy with the result and will go back when I get my nails done again. On top of it all, Helen was so nice and fun to talk to. It was a great experience.
