Overall not a very relaxing massage. Did not focus on areas detailed in the intake form. Scheduled a Swedish massage, got more of a very fast paced sports massage and I’m being respectful to call it that, it wasn’t very skillful. The massage itself wasn’t balanced.. would do some techniques on one half of the back and didn’t repeat or feel balanced on the other. The therapist had a mint in her mouth some of the time in the beginning, where I heard her crunching on it (she was trying to be silent about it though). When she introduced herself she was eating a sandwich and letting me know she was there on Tuesday’s by herself and she is having to work till 7pm – so right off the bat, I felt not welcomed, like I was keeping her from resting and eating. When she took me back to the massage room it wasn’t very relaxing because you have to go through the laundry area first… it wasn’t inviting to say the least. The room itself was nice, wish it could have been a little darker in there. But overall nice room. I won’t be returning, however I’m hoping her as a therapist doesn’t reflect the whole spa- because they had a unique menu of services and great prices.
