Married guy did my nails. He was very unprofessional. My nails are not filed correctly and are very rigid. He ground into my skin with grinder. He saw he had someone calling him on watch, then proceeded to take a personal phone call. The gals in there are great. However, my experience with him will result in me not returning. Getting your nails done is supposed to be a pampering/enjoyable experience. I was forced to move my arms upside down with a twist. Never in my years of going to a salon has that ever happened. Also, I had requested a brow waxing but that was never done or offered. I was baffled by the way this married guy spoke to other customers entering. Very unprofessional… Please learn from my expensive mistake…..just don’t.

I have been going there every 2-3 weeks for manicures and pedicures for over 9 years always by appointment for a perfect service every time. It has been the cleanest salon i have ever been in even before the COVID-19 pandemic. They installed shields for their employees, customers are required to wash their hands when they walk in. Everyone, including employees and customers wear a mask. I feel safe there.This is my favorite salon. This is my favorite salon. I have been going there every 2-3 weeks for manicures and pedicures for over 9 years always by appointment for a perfect service every time. It has been the cleanest salon i have ever been in even before the COVID-19 pandemic. They installed shields for their employees, customers are required to wash their hands when they walk in. I have been going to Grace Nails for nearly three years since I moved to Ankeny and when I first went I loved it. The service is generally great and the staff is all very friendly but this last week I went with a friend to have our nails done before her baby shower. We made appointments and were seated right away but both of our appointments felt rushed as it was only about an hour and a half before they closed. We had them done on Saturday and by Sunday morning my nails were already peeling off. When they were placed the technician that put them on dipped the tips of the acrylics into what looked and smelled like acetone. The acrylics were full of bubbles and have now all completely fallen off, less then a week after being placed. I have loved their service for the most part over the last three years but I will not be going back any time soon.

I had a great experience at Grace nails. I walked in without an appointment, told them I wanted a pedicure and was told to pick a color. I was offered water or wine and seated immediately in a comfy massage chair. They removed my previous color, removed my calluses and gave me a sugar scrub in the “classic” pedicure. It was straightforward and relaxing. Paid with card, but couldn’t tip with it. Luckily I had some cash in my car.
