Go to this salon with caution. I first went to this salon a year ago and I loved how they did my hair when they braided blonde into my hair. However, the last two times I’ve gone when I asked them to put blue into my hair it always comes out slightly off and I don’t get why! I don’t know if they feel that I shouldn’t have color in my hair or not but that’s no reason to leave it looking like this. The design is nice! I like how they braid my hair, but they charged $120 for my head (after saying they’d redo it for $80 ) and the ends have been left like this (again) and it’s ridiculous. They do good work, I’ve seen them do really nice braids and twists.

Critical: QualityI got box braids done here about two weeks ago, every single hair on my hairline was braided in very tightly despite telling the lady not to braid so tight. I’ve had to take down almost all of my braids around my edges only to find my edges have all fallen out BY THE ROOT. I wish I could instead a photo, I’ve never had this happen to me. I got box braids done here about two weeks ago, every single hair on my hairline was braided in very tightly despite telling the lady not to braid so tight. I’ve had to take down almost all of my braids around my edges only to find my edges have all fallen out BY THE ROOT. I wish I could instead a photo, I’ve never had this happen to me. Quite frankly I’m scared of getting my hair braided ever again.

Critical: Professionalism, PunctualityI’ve been to this place twice. My first experience was excellent. They washed and braided my hair for 140$, hair included in the price. The second time may me decide to leave this review. I may an appointment for 9:30, I came in and the person who booked my appointment was doing another persons hair, I had to wait an Hour and a Half to even get started. I brought my own hair because I liked that hair better than what they used last time I was there, the hair was really stiff and wasn’t good for versatile styling of box braids. The lady started doing my hair at 11:34 and we didn’t finish until 4-5 o’clock in the afternoon, I made this appointment so that I wouldn’t be late to work and I was still late to work by not one but 2 hours! I brought my own hair and as you recall me saying in the beginning, when I went the first time, they washed braided and used their hair on my head and it was 140$ plus the 20$ tip I gave the woman who braided my hair. Not only did the person who braided my hair not make it versatile, she told me it was 140$ because of the size and length. It was the same size and length I did the first time that I ever came there! So if you want to be charged unfairly and be talked about in French, (which yes I do know what you were saying talking about how short my hair was, for your information I shaved my head and regrew my hair, you all were talking about me the entire time the second time I came) you should go here. Also she didn’t seal the ends of the braids correctly. Next time I’ll be going to Norwalk, I’d rather pay for an Uber than be scammed by these people.I’ve been to this place twice. I went here twice since August the First Lady did Geneva did a great job , I cut my hair so it was short she caught everything and only took 5 hours. Grace (the owner) her braids are nicer yes, but she is slow and she left and inch of hair out around my hair line. If I didn’t want my edges caught I would of said so that’s why we go to the Africans to have our edges caught smh. Not to mention she took 7/8 hrs and all my braids around the edge are falling out. She didn’t do them tight enough I didn’t even feel her braiding until she got to the middle. And this bs cost me $140 smfh never again .

They did not do my hair as I asked them to. The work was sloppy and uneven. Even after talking to the lady throughout getting my hair done she would not listen to any of my demands. She rushed towards then end and made a lot of amateur mistakes. I will never come here again. A huge waste of $100. I will be going to another hair braiding place in Stamford. DO NOT COME HERE IF YOU WANT PROFESSIONAL WORK DONE.

Woman doing my hair was absolutely rude. Criticizing the texture of my hair and complained about it the entire time. I simply asked for cornrows you go under a wig. She gave me six large cornrows that were obnoxiously large, there was no way the wig would lay flat. If I could give no stars I would. I would recommend this shop to anyone. Not a soul.

Really great place to do hair but if I were you walk in are good because you might have an appointment with a last but she’s already doing someone else’s hair who came in a couple of minutes ago and regular braids take forever. There’s only a couple lady’s and by that I mean like 4 but they get it done with not a lot of money like 80-100 depends on what you do to your hair. And there wasting there day to braid your hair it’s worth it. It might hurt though. This is a picture of my braids, there not really just my braids but here.
