Easily one of the best salon experiences I have ever had. I saw Ronnie for my first appointment today in desperate need of help with hair that had been bleached to within an inch of its life. She took her time listening to me about what I wanted, did a repairing treatment, the exact cut I wanted, and a scalp massage that I’m pretty sure undid an entire year’s worth of stress. My hair is so much softer and has its bounce back. Ronnie and the salon manager Ashley gave me tips for taking care of my damaged hair, and helped me find a combination of products I could afford.

I decided to try Gordon because the location is convenient. It’s a beautiful salon and I’ve seen both Margaret and Ursa. Margaret is the color expert (a color educator actually) and Ursa gave me my fave haircut ever. I got so many compliments and it was super low maintenance but looked like I tried! Both stylists are excellent. What really got me to leave a review is the customer service. Ashley is the salon manager and she really does an exceptional job. She’s always personable and positive, but more so she goes above and beyond to make sure clients are happy. She listens, takes client feedback seriously, is not dismissive of feedback, and in my experience acted as a client advocate. To me, this communicates how much Gordon salon values their clients. They want to make sure you’re happy with your service and will make it right if you’re not. Definitely recommend!

I absolutely LOVE Gordon Salon Evanston. When you walk in, you are greeted by Ashley (adorable) who will treat you like you are a part of their family. Everyone is so friendly. Next is my stylist aka miracle worker, Lexa. Can I say the best? I have a simple cut but my hair has a mind of its own. Not only does she listened to my needs, but she goes above and beyond my expectations each time. I seriously have good hair days until my next cut. That never happened before! She also gave me very natural highlights. Wasn’t streaky, or clumpy and they lasted a long time. I highly recommend GS Evanston. You will not regret it!

My second visit to Gordon salon was fantastic! I saw the same stylist as last time (Rachel) and had a great experience. Since I pre-booked, I got a complimentary conditioning treatment which felt great and really revitalized my scalp. The cut I got was also wonderful! As with my first visit, she took the time to understand my curl pattern to give me a short cut that highlighted my hair texture. The front desk was friendly and helpful in getting me booked to come back and see Rachel again! Can’t wait!

Margaret does fabulous blond highlights. This was my first visit and I didn’t get a cut yet, but Margaret is also very talented with a blow dryer. The interior is very relaxing and spa-like. The shampoo room is really exceptional. The business is very professional and everyone there strives to make you feel important. I’ve been to 6 different salons in Evanston, and this is by the far the best. Well, it’s rather expensive, but it really is the best.

Margaret is an amazing artist. It was my first visit and she chose the perfect color with little direction from me. I also had a great interaction with the receptionist. Very sweet, welcoming and was always smiling. Oh and the tech who washed out the color….amazing scalp massage! I highly recommend this business.

Rachel is the best stylist I have ever had! She took my limp, frizzy, and damaged head of hair and gave it life again. From the scalp massage to shampooing to the cut and style, she was incredibly thorough, attentive, and caring. She took my preferences and concerns into great consideration and formulated a hairstyle I have never tried before – and I love it! I would highly recommend booking with her.
