I visited Raton with my boys on spring break and asked the hotel where to get a hair cut. They recommended Junior at Good Times Barber Shop in downtown Raton. It’s worth noting that my wife has been cutting my hair for years because I could never find a place that gets it right. I told Junior a #1 guard on bottom, and a #2 on top and he blended it perfectly to fit my head with no more explanation or questions as if he had been cutting my hair for years. He also shared some information about the area which was very much appreciated. He was well mannered, friendly, and professional.

Stopped by during a vacation to get a cut. Barber (Junior) did a great job, and we had a good conversation re various goings on in New Mexico. This is the first place I stopped at in town and it was a good introduction to Raton: friendly and laid back.

The barber was rude and I can tell he didn’t want to cut my hair, never said a thing to us for 2 cuts and then made excuses why he couldn’t cut my hair so he could drink and watch football. Don’t waste your time here.
