Critical: Cleanliness, Professionalism, Punctuality, Quality, ValueOH MY GOSH, the WORST experience ever! On Tuesday my daughter and myself go to Miriam’s shop personally to make the appointment. My daughter shows Miriam a picture of the style she wants and my daughter’s hair was in its natural state so Miriam knew exactly what type of texture of hair she would be braiding. On Wednesday Miriam calls to confirm the appointment. On Thursday the day of the appointment Miriam calls to say she is running late. I dropped my daughter off at her scheduled appointment time (10a.m) letting Miriam know that my daughter has orientation for high school at 3:30. Miriam assured me that my daughters hair would be done by then. At 12:30 my daughter calls me telling me that Miriam stopped braiding her hair to do someone else’s hair and that she doesn’t think she’ll be done by 3:30. At 1:30 my daughter calls me again stating, she does not like her hair and ask Miriam to do box braids. Miriam told her no she doesn’t have time. While on the phone with my daughter Miriam was telling my daughter not to take pictures of her hair, telling her she is trouble, yelling at my daughter, recording my daughter, snatching my daughters phone to talk to me and telling me I need to watch the company my daughter keeps because she is trouble. When I arrived at the shop Miriam’s tone was way calmer than what it was on the phone. Miriam told me that the picture my daughter showed her was a wig and that my daughter’s hair was too coarse and not permed so it would not come out looking like the picture. Mind you, my daughter and myself were at the shop two days before that and Miriam saw the picture and my daughter’s hair. Why didn’t she say anything about that then? My mother, daughter and myself started taking out the 17 braids in my daughters hair. 17 braids done in 4 hrs. While taking out the braids Miriam insisted that she get paid for her “services” because she is a “professional.” I told her I was not paying her because this is not the service that we wanted. Miriam then locked us in the shop and called the police. The police said since we did not receive the services we requested and we gave Miriam her hair back there was nothing they could do. I had read all the negative reviews and heard negative things from friends about this shot but I did not want to knock it till I tried it.
