Critical: Professionalism, Quality, ValueI couldn’t believe they let me walk out with my hair looking how it did. I came in wanting to retouch my roots because I used color remover on a box dye that made my hair too dark. I picked out swatches and pointed out swatches I specifically did not like. Girl named Liz, who was far less than welcoming, recommended redying my whole head. Color came out looking jet black when I chose to mix an ash brown and chocolate brown. I said I was worried but Liz said it’s the lighting. Not to mention— she left dye all over my neck, below my hairline, ears, and even stained my sweatshirt.I spoke with the owner, she said my hair can’t be black and they used even lighter colors than the swatches I chose. The owner said she helped mix the colors. They should have warned me how dark the colors would be since they’re supposed to be the professionals. The color is exactly what I said I did not want and it just seems like they didn’t know how to get my color (a dark brown).I also sent the owner these photos of the messy dye job. She said she would call back but I know I won’t hear back because they don’t want to give even a partial refund. I am extremely disappointed in the service and carelessness they showed, do not recommend anyone here. I couldn’t believe they let me walk out with my hair looking how it did. I came in wanting to retouch my roots because I used color remover on a box dye that made my hair too dark. I picked out swatches and pointed out swatches I specifically did not like. Girl named Liz, who was far less than welcoming, recommended redying my whole head. Not only was I greeted with professional staff, I had an amazing hair stylist, Liz, who not only treated me to a complimentary mimosa, but made my experience one to remember! Everyone in the Solon was personable, and professional. I voiced exactly what I wanted and my hairstylist DELIVERED. Before the holidays I was hoping to go blonder and that’s exactly what I got. Everyone there seemed in good spirits and was able to answer ever question I asked. Great service, great price, super clean. I will NEVER go to another Solon. When it comes to my hair, I know I have to make it a priority. It can be easy to be timid when opening up to your stylist for the first time but when openly communicating on what I wanted, she knew exactly what to do!!!I recommend this place to EVERYONE! My experience at The Golden Vanity was ABOVE AND BEYOND perfect!! Not only was I greeted with professional staff, I had an amazing hair stylist, Liz, who not only treated me to a complimentary mimosa, but made my experience one to remember! Everyone in the Solon was personable, and professional. I voiced exactly what I wanted and my hairstylist DELIVERED. Before the holidays I was hoping to go blonder and that’s exactly what I got. Critical: Professionalism, Quality, Valuei had such poor experience at this salon and certainly wouldn’t recommend to anyone else due to significant lack of conflict resolution & awful quality. i paid over $200 to leave the salon with my hair looking exactly the same, but even more yellow than what i started with (it was a blonding session). once contacting the salon about my concerns & providing clear photos, the hairdresser lied and said she told me she wouldn’t be able to lift my hair like the original photo i showed. that was never communicated and my hair is already very light blonde so it shouldn’t have been difficult. i’ve never had this problem before. it looked NOTHING like the photo, which was rather simple. the owner treated me as if i should just deal with the poor service i received. i talked to multiple of my stylist friends and they were appalled after seeing my hair. after the issue was dragged out, rather than fixing the issue as their policy suggests, the owner offered to refund half of the service fee. so i still paid over $100 for my hair to look worse than before i went in.my friend made a visit at this salon the same day i did. they turned her hair so orange that she immediately went to the store so she could box dye it back dark. considering the outcomes in correlation with the prices – GO ELSEWHERE.Services: Balayage, Hairstylingi had such poor experience at this salon and certainly wouldn’t recommend to anyone else due to significant lack of conflict resolution & awful quality. i paid over $200 to leave the salon with my hair looking exactly the same, but even …More

Critical: QualityI came here to dye my hair back to its natural color before Halloween. My regular hair dresser is back home but it is a 2 hour drive I did not want to make. I was recommended by someone to go here and I made an appointment with Jenna. Firstly, she openly expressed she had no clue what to do with my hair halfway through dyeing it but continued to do it anyway. I was a faded pink and asked for dark brown with highlights. Instead of using a color remover, she bleached over my pink pieces, and then dyed over all of it with dark brown. I also asked for curtain bangs which ended up looking like my hair broke off, not like an intentional decision. All together this appointment was almost $300 with tip. I just visited my regular hairdresser who informed me my hair is so chemically damaged it has broken off all over. I DO NOT recommend this place and i specifically do not recommend Jenna.
