I went to Golden Roots for eyelash extensions before my engagement shoot. I was a little hesitant, being my first time getting them, but their team was super helpful and the eyelashes looked amazing! They were so natural looking which is exactly what I was hoping for. They also did my hair and makeup before the engagement shoot and I was so happy with the outcome. I don’t wear a lot of makeup but they made it look natural yet also stand out in photos. I cannot wait to use them for my wedding next year!

Golden Roots is one of the best salons around. I am so happy I stumbled upon this place about 3 years ago and started coming here. The stylists are all so amazing and welcoming. They are always up to date on the new trends and techniques. I have come here primarily for my hair but have also gotten makeup and lash extensions that came out so beautiful.

My color is always awesome, highly recommend. The salon itself is exceptionally clean & funky, cool interior. Easy parking, runs on time. However. My stylist, the owner, seemed to pride herself on how fast she cuts hair. On the one hand, it is so awesome because I can get in and out. On the other, she didn’t really take time to look at how my hair grows and falls. There was someone who had come in that was waiting for her and she told her “just a few minutes” when she started the cut. When she was finished, I felt really rushed to shake it out and see what I thought (after cut she takes the cape off immediately). The last couple of times there were pretty obvious differences in each side… one side heavy, one very layered and choppy (not in a good way). After many times styling my hair at home, the weird cuts were obvious. I was pretty frustrated because I don’t have time to go back to a salon post-cut and get corrections. If I got a response that “everyone’s hair grows differently” I would say, yes of course. AND, that should be the stylist’s responsibility to really check how everything looks after cut. Not sure I’ll go back even though I really liked my first few haircuts.
