Golden Nail Salon

Literally the most uncomfortable experience ever. My previous polish was just normal nail polish (not gel or anything) and rather than just using nail polish remover they attempted to just peal it off with a metal tool. When I told them I preferred polish remover they instead angrily started scraping my nail polish off with a file and not only removed the polish but the top layer of my skin on my toes. I told her multiple times it was painful but that seemed to just annoy her more and she did it harder. They then quickly scrubbed my feet with a dirty clearly old foot brush and did the most pitiful pedicure I have ever had. My mom then got up to get her nails done and they immediately sat a customer in her pedicure bowl without cleaning or disinfecting it at all. And there was cold water already in our bowl that I didn’t think much of until the moment when I realized it was more than likely someone else’s dirty foot water. The staff was rude and hurried us along even though it was fairly empty, clearly bothered that I asked them to stop something that was physically painful. I completely understand their low state board rating.

This place has a ZERO health score! Refused to put regular polish on fingernails. Said they only use gel!! The health rating was hanging BUT behind another sign therefore is wasn’t visible until I asked for it. The man is rude and hateful!!! Calling State Board of Cosmetology first thing Monday morning!

I just received the absolute worst pedicure of my life from Golden Nail Salon on East Three Notch St. 14 minutes start to finish. The girl cut all of the corners off my nails and literally made them round. 2 minutes soaking my feet, 1 minute applying lotion, no cuticle trim, didn’t get all of the old polish off, new polish doesn’t cover the whole nail so old polish still shows. Does not deserve even 1 star. When I complained, while paying $25 for this ridiculousness, I was told that all the other salons that take up to an hour for a pedicure don’t know what they are doing. The owner was extremely rude and told me not to come back if I didn’t like it. That won’t be a problem.

I used to go to Mary’s but have been having issues with lifting so I went to Lavy they turned me away no one In salon but me she literally said I’m not waisting my time your cuticles bad due to the lifting I said are you serious now they are pricey and do good work and was willing to spend the money to get them fixed she wouldn’t take the time a friend of mine told me about golden so I went expecting to be turned away and so I walked in I was the only one he sat me down and fixed my nails they are perfect not thick at the cuticle and I then let them do a pedi on me very good pedi cleaned my toes out along the walls I will go back again very pleased thank you golden

I originally got my nails done on Friday. I got gel polish which usually lasts for about two weeks. After a day, while out of town my nail polish started chipping. On Tuesday evening I returned to the shop to get my nails repainted. When I walked in I held up two fingers and told the guy I needed a repair. Him and his wife asked me the color, I told them it was on the pallets. He then asked the number. I didn’t remember the number because I wasn’t planning on coming back. Him and her found the color (I’m not even sure it’s a match, but it’s close) they wouldn’t let me look or give input. Ok, whatever they are they experts. She repaired my polish, and this is when the story turns. I asked her how much and was charged $5 dollars. I have NEVER been charged for a repair after a couple of days at ANY nail shop. The gel polish, if done correctly should have lasted. If it didn’t, I shouldn’t have been charged for a repair. The irony is I was going to tip her $5. They would have gotten the five dollars anyway and a return customer. Instead, they got the five dollars and lost a customer with the potential to bring them many more dollars.
