Positive: Cleanliness, Professionalism, Punctuality, Quality, ValueAbigail, the owner of Gold & Braid Salon, was an absolute dream to work with! She squeezed me into her very busy schedule at the last minute – I was in desperate need of a haircut! Once I arrived she was ready to go right on time. She had a very thorough conversation with me about my hair, what my hair care routine looks like and how often I like to come in for maintenance. I showed her photos of the look I was going for and she was very knowledgeable of the style, and asked me more questions about how I like to wear my hair to really understand how to adapt the cut (length of the layers and such) to fit my life and my needs. She was kind, relatable and easy to talk to throughout the entire appointment – which was about 90 mins for my cut and style. She gave me a great head massage while washing my hair, and really put me at ease. She genuinely loves what she does, she’s passionate and very skilled. She made my hair look and feel amazing! She answered any questions I had, gave suggestions for what kinds of products to use in my hair, and even gave me advice on how to style it as well. This was truly the best experience I’ve ever had getting my hair done. Abigail, the owner of Gold & Braid Salon, was an absolute dream to work with! She squeezed me into her very busy schedule at the last minute – I was in desperate need of a haircut! I have had previous hair cuts that have quite literally made me start cutting my own hair- so I was nervous to go to someone for a very specific cut…but Abigail KILLED it. I will most likely go to her for all my cuts for as long as I can. She’s sweet, pleasant, and welcoming. Just recently moved from the Midwest and found Gold & Braid on Nextdoor app when looking for a new stylist. Abigail emailed an info/welcome packet prior to appointment which was super helpful! I was so nervous to have someone new coloring my hair after having the same stylist for 15 years, but Abigail did a wonderful job! I’m very pleased with the services and will certainly be back!

I was blown away by the level of detail she used on my hair (multiple shades of blonde highlights). I have pretty thin hair but it now has a lot of depth because of how well she added the highlights. I went in on a regular hair day, snarls and all, so she could get an idea of what she was up against. Instead of running from the room, she actually said I had Viking hair. I like that. Big, snarly, thick hair that needed color and was longer than it’s ever been isn’t a disgrace; it’s Viking hair! We decided on a plan of action, scheduled my appointment, and I went in today for a cut and color. But the true crowning glory was the scalp massage that was part of the shampoo. I serioulsy think it’s the key to longevity! Oh, and my hair color is gorgeous! And the Dyson blowdryer doesn’t burn my scalp! You know those Go See Ken stickers?
