I usually love coming here but I had an unpleasant experience this past time. I asked if they were able to do a specific shellac nail and showed a picture for reference. They stated they were able to do it so I went along with their plan. They insisted I get powder on my nail even though I only wanted shellac. I constantly tried to express doubts about how my nails were coming out so we didn’t get too far into the process but they constantly told me it was not done and that it was a part of the process. After attempting several times to express I wasn’t happy with how my nails were coming out, I gave up and allowed the tech to finish. It did not look like the reference picture at all. I would’ve just changed my nail design if they had been honest and said they were unable to do the nails I had shown. I ended up paying $65 for what I thought was the manicure and pedicure. Turns out, they call me later to let me that was only the cost for the manicure and had failed to charge my pedicure. So, I ended up paying way more than anticipated. The pedicure tech was amazing and did great on my toenails but I am disappointed with how my manicure was handled. From start to finish. Attached reference picture and my nail picture. Again, the nails aren’t bad. Just not what I had asked for at all.

Peter Guapo is meticulous!! I went for a classic look but his nail art is beautiful. And the rhinestones never fall off! Amazing experience! Best is SA! Got shellac toes & acrylic nails by Lynn about a month ago & they still look AMAZING. I’ve been all over SA getting acrylic for 25 years & I have to say that I have NEVER had anyone as detailed and meticulous about my nails. The care she took with shaping them into this gorgeous shorter coffin style was stellar! I found my new home & so should you!

Horrible experience. I got black matte dip on my natural nails. They had several wrinkles/brush strokes. When I asked Cindy to fix it she said that’s how it’s supposed to look. I told her it should be smoothe not bumpy with all the lines. Becky attempted to help fix but ended with the same result. 2 hours later I was asked to come back because Cindy had an appointment waiting on her. When I came back an hour later the owner Lynn was supposed to fix. I waited 45 min before Cindy offered to buff them for Lynn to fix. I asked to have the dip removed and just get shellac polish on my natural nails. Cindy refused and put shellac polish over the dip. It looked worse… very thick and clumpy with all the same wrinkles/lines. Lynn finally came and was very rough with my hands buffed over my cuticles several times and made me bleed. Then puts shellac on top and asks if that’s good enough. I asked her if she could see the wrinkles I was talking about and she said she never has any complaints from customers and doesn’t know what my problem is. I asked to have it all removed and just get shellac on my natural nails once again. She was being very rude and unprofessional with her words as well as her services. I told her I could tell she was bothered and to please just remove the dip and give me my money back so I can go elsewhere. She refused to remove the dip and gave me $42 back in cash and walked away to her station. I have never experienced someone being so rude and rough with me while getting a mani. I will NEVER go back and would not recommend this nail salon.

I have been going here for over a year. Becky is one of the best technicians in San Antonio. I gave 4 stars to salon not the technician. The quality of her work is awesome. The front office staff is subpar. Today was the first day that I’ve personally had a bad experience. My appointment this week was pushed back from being overbooked. I scheduled online for two services. The rescheduled appointment was today at 10am. At 9:58 the front girls call me to see if I was still coming, I was literately in the middle of parking. The urgency and feeling of being rushed was overwhelming. As I sat down I realized the front staff rescheduled me for only 1 service not the two I booked. On top of that we had to rush my nails since the next appointment was in an hour. The next appointment showed up and was allowed to come to my table and talk to my technician instead of waiting or relaying what she wanted to say to the other staff. The owner did tell the front girl of her mistake in rescheduling me and the young girl rolled her eyes and walked away. Usually I’m treated very nicely, offered a beverage, and welcomed. Water was not offered. Nothing. I had to speak to the front girl privately in order to even get an apology. It was so disappointing. The atmosphere usually feels spa-like but today felt like any other nail salon. I usually tip 25% of the balance but today I didn’t because I felt very dismissed and as if they could care less about their clients. Becky is one of the best technicians I know so as long as she is there I will still be going but it’s so sad that the atmosphere has changed.
