Critical: Professionalism, PunctualityI initially tried to make an appointment for eyelash extensions with Gwen back in August. I texted her and tried to schedule a Saturday appointment but she just stopped responding.In November, I went into the salon (where Gwen works) to get my hair done and my stylist and I talked about the eyelash extensions again and I decided to give Gwen another try. I scheduled an appointment with her on Saturday at 12:15pm but she ended up texting me just past 10am the morning of my appointment stating she had a no show and told me I could come in anytime if I wanted. I responded back that I would be there within 30 minutes. Gwen responded back confirming 30 minutes was fine and she would see me then. I then rearranged all my other appointments for the day and headed to the salon. When I got there I was told the lady who was a no show had, in fact, showed up and Gwen had started doing her lashes. Gwen had sent me a text explaining this but I was driving and didn’t see it. While Gwen did apologize, it is unclear to me why she wouldn’t have told the client who was late that she had already filled her slot and allowed me to keep my appointment. I ended up not being able to get my lashes done since I had already rescheduled my entire day around my lash appointment and after texting Gwen and letting her know how disappointed I was and that I was going to have to find a new place to go, her response was she was sorry and gave me a referral to someone else which was just further insulting, especially since I live in Indiana and the referral was in Ohio. Very unprofessional behavior all around. I don’t know if this is how she treats all her clients but it is not a very nice way to conduct business.I would like to point out this review is NOT a negative reflection on the salon Gwen works at as everyone else at the salon has always been very professional and I love the salon itself.Service: Eyelash extensionsI initially tried to make an appointment for eyelash extensions with Gwen back in August.
