I joined because I was excited to try what sounded like an amazing deal and convenient locations, I live between Dupont Circle and Georgetown, So why not be a founding member and get unlimited services? I get my nails done often and I’m in the market for a new salon as the one I used to go to is no longer in business.

The women who work here are nice – but they just are not skilled enough to do these complex designs. Design was botched, no cuticle care, and my gel manicure peeled off after a day. Aside from that, each nail was a different shape. Some square, some oval…just a mess overall. Only giving 2 stars because they’re nice.

I cannot recommend this business. everyone is super nice and that’s why I gave 2 stars, but it’s super over priced for what you get. it’s $99 for your first month of unlimited + 20% tips based on whatever service you got. I thought okay I’ll try it and at $99 I could justify it. basically I came weekly for a new gel manicure and my nails never all made it to a full week without chipping. then the next month it bumps up to $135 a month. so $135 plus $11-14 tips (extra if you got gel removal) is too much. I have loved every tech, so I feel bad giving a negative review, but I am so tired of my nails chipping right away and paying so much. this morning I got a gel manicure. I needed one to be fixed while I was still there because it bubbled up. then I get home and 2 mins later I have 2 chips on my thumb because excess gel polish on my skin. they aren’t huge chips, but I know it will leave to the polish peeling earlier and I was hoping they would at least last until christmas.

I got a gel mani from Tish she was such a gem I’d def go back to her she paid a lot of attention while she was doing my nails and was also fun to talk to. Gloss lab price $44 for a gel mani is kinda high but the salon is clean and aesthetic inside so I think it’s worth it Gel manicures

I got a gel manicure on a Monday and by Wednesday two of my nails had peeled off. Others are starting to peel as well. Disappointed in the quality of the service especially for the price

I got a regular mani and pedi at the same time and both of my services were great. Bri and Ashley did an awesome job! I will definitely be coming back. Thanks, Glosslab!

Do not understand this business model at all. They market as a luxury nail service but it’s so far from that. I was given a gift card for a pedi so I figured I would give it a shot. I saw the negative reviews but went in hoping they had been remedied. They have not. First, I was texted a few hours before my appointment saying they had to reschedule because they were down a nail tech and then they texted never mind like 10 minutes later, weird but appreciated them letting me know. When I got to the appointment I ended up waiting for about 15-20 minutes and just sat in the chair. Step-by-step this is how the pedi went- they file or trim first, then they spray your feet with water and use the pumice stone thing. Then they bring over these plastic booties with moisturizer in them, they put the booties on then immediately slice open the top where your toes are and start working on your cuticles—which is painful bc the circles aren’t softened at all. Then they take off the booties, use a warm towel to wrap your feet and then spray with more water and something else, alcohol? Acetone? Whatever it was did not work to get the moisturizer and oil off my toes so the polish is super streaky and diluted. Finally the polish job was shotty at best. So streaky, polish on my nail beds, polish missing in some areas, and my cuticles look like they weren’t even touched. I literally walked out and immediately scheduled a pedi at my normal local spot which charges $30 and is way more luxurious. The total for this was $62, with tip automatically included (probably bc if they didn’t auto include the tip, their nail techs would never get tips). This concept would make much more sense if it was marketed as an efficient polish change place and they charged like $20. They did use all new instruments but tbh I don’t think I’ve ever been to a place where they didn’t so that is not novel. I also don’t understand why while I was waiting they didn’t wrap my feet in a warm towel or put the booties on. The “waterless” concept is just not functional the way they have it, they should at least wrap your feet for more than two seconds before going in on your cuticles. $62 for what was basically a poor polish change is insane. 0/10 would not recommend and have told my friends not to go bc it’s a waste of money. The photos were taken seconds after she finished.

UPDATE: Thought it prudent to update my review to share that it took no fewer than six emails to different customer service reps and email addresses to cancel my membership. Every time I was forwarded on to a new person they replied to me with inaccurate information about the services I received (wrong dates, wrong services, wrong location) and then bounced me onto someone new who started the whole process over. Finally, nearly a week later, I was able to get access to a form to fill out and cancel my membership (which, despite asking, hasn’t been confirmed by the last rep I chatted with…)
