I was hoping I could call this my go-to nail salon. I didn’t get polish in my hands, but wanted to get clean smooth nails. They overbuffed them and they look dry. The service of the managing staff was subpar. Taking my money elsewhere. I’ve never tipped less than 20%. Today I had to tip 15% and I wish I had asked for my money back on the manicure. My nails were left in bad condition. They offered to add polish – but that doesn’t change the fact that they overbuffed and damaged my nails. I didn’t take their offer to get polish. Why bother.

I’ve now been here 5+ times since they’ve opened and have never had a negative experience. Their gel manicures last me three weeks sometimes without peeling. I’ve always made appointments during the week days and always leave happy. Staff is always friendly and they take their time! Hope people give them a shot and don’t trust all the bad reviews on here.

I was excited to try glosslab, especially since it seemed convenient with lots of appointment availability. I came here twice for a gel manicure and sadly had the same experience both times (would not recommend). Both times the gel started chipping within about 4 days and after a week even peeling off some nails. To charge $55 plus 20% gratuity for the quality of these gel manicures is not at all worth the money or time. The good news is that you won’t have to go back for gel removable because it will start peeling off on its own.

NEVER GO HERE! Not only did they not have food washers and hand dryers they rushed the whole processed and we were in and out of there within 20 minutes. My nails IMMEDIATELY peeled the second I got home and the staff gossiped to my friend that I was a controlling human being. Pedicure, Manicure

Guys… you need to get it together! Such an amazing concept, and a really cool space, but it’s been a rough opening. I’ve gone five times and had a very different experience each time. All of the girls are SUPER nice so this is in no way a review of the hard working women. However, from the top down – if you’re going to charge what you charge, you better offer 10/10 service and train your technicians to all do great work. I’ve had some pretty bad manicures, and I’ve waited 20 minutes for my technician to be available. I even had a monthly membership but canceled because of the unreliable service. Really unfortunate.

I am so disappointed. I should have listened to all the negative reviews. I too purchased the BOGO gel manicure and was excited to give GlossLab a shot. The place is clean and my gel manicure was enjoyable. My manicurist was extremely nice and professional. However, not even 7 days later my CND shellac manicure has all fully lifted and is coming off. The strange thing is I’ve gotten this brand polish many many times at other salons. It must be something in the Gloss Lab base coat, or a dilution of their polish. I will not be using my second manicure. If not worth the money for a gel manicure that lasts less than one week. There are also many hidden fees. Too bad.

My appointment was scheduled for 12:00 pm but my manicure service didn’t start until past 12:30 pm (time stamp in picture says 12:28 and still waited a few more minutes) I almost walked out but I had already invested too much time on this. It is tremendously disrespectful to make someone wait that long for a scheduled “premium” service. This wasn’t the only negative aspect of my visit, I strongly suggest training your front desk personnel in customer service. The only reason why I’m giving this business an extra star is because my nail technician was friendly and sweet although she could use more training (not her fault) My manicure and my experience overall were far below my expectations (see pictures). I still tipped 20% because I always do and again, the nail tech was friendly and nice. As a resident of Westport, I was really hoping to be impressed and walk out having purchased a membership which obviously didn’t happen.

I wanted to like this place. It’s very clean. I waited over 30 minutes after my appointment time. The staff was friendly- this is not a reflection on them. Beyond the waiting, the manicure was not good quality. (Polish chipping within 1 day.)
