Gloria is very talented at braiding hair. She opens at 8:30 am,but she accommodated me and let me come at 7:30am. .her hair styles last up to 3 months and she made my braids look very neat. I would highly recommend her services. Box Braids

Gloria is awesome! She is a very nice and sweet hair braided that will not not accept disrespectful clients. As a hair dresser myself, people tend to be rude and disrespectful not knowing you can get that very same thing in return and still expect you to provide a service to them. ….. Um, not!!! Calling someone out of their name will totally get not get you the outcome you’re looking for! I have came here for years and would highly recommend her to anyone who is looking for quality work!!

I have been a faithful client of Gloria’s for about 8 years now. I always get a sew-in and she does an excellent job on my hair each time, my sew-in stays up for up to 8 weeks. My hair has grown since I’ve been going to her. I am completely satisfied with her service and will continue to be a client there and refer people to her if they want good quality service for a very good price.

Horrible experience! My little sister had a 8:30am appointment Gloria didn’t get there until after 9:15am. Strike one. My sister is 16 and I explained to Gloria that she’s a minor so she doesn’t make decisions. Gloria quoted my sister 180.00 then when we finally got into the shop almost an hour after her appointment time, she changed the price to 200.00, strike 2. Because of the texture of my little sisters hair I made it very clear to Gloria that she needs to not braid her edges too tight. Gloria got an attitude and seemed annoyed. Honestly I didn’t really care because if I’m paying then whatever I say goes. Fast forward to about 7 hours later my little sister is still getting her hair done. My little sister texted me and told me it was taking a long time because Gloria was talking on the phone, eating, and stopping to do another girls hair, who arrived AFTER my sister. That is when I knew there was a problem. My sister got in Gloria’s chair after 9:00am. It was 8:00pm and Gloria still wasn’t done with her hair. When I entered the shop my sister still had about 1/4 of her hair that needed to be braided. The first question I asked was “Why isn’t her hair finished” Gloria responds in a nasty manner “I’ve had customers complain all day about how long it’s going to take so I don’t need to hear it from you” That was strike three. I told Gloria I didn’t care how many people complained my sister has been in the shop since 9:00am. There is no reason why her hair shouldn’t be finished. Gloria proceeds to start yelling and screaming at me. Well…. Gloria got the right one. I politely told her that she needed to take a time out and check herself before things go really left. Needless to say we argued back and forth because I told her she was a horrible business woman, and you don’t treat or talk to your customers that way. She asked to be paid her full 200.00 I refused because she didn’t give 200.00 worth of quality service. After I refused she became increasingly aggressive and stopped doing my sisters hair(this is about 12 hours in) and then threaten to call the police on me. Considering how the police handle blacks today, I didn’t want to put myself or my little sister in that situation. I paid her, her full 200.00 and told her to just finish my sisters hair. She began to try and talk to me and I told her don’t speak to me. I see how you treat your customers. I just wanted her to finish my sisters hair. Needless to say my sister sat in Gloria’s shop for over 13 hours for Sengelese Twist. After Gloria was late, stopped and did someone else’s hair and had the audacity to text and eat she didn’t try and make things right with her customers. Don’t patronize this shop. Horrible business owner, and honestly she’s not that great of a person because she clearly lacks character. Run fast away! Gloria has a horrible attitude and will try and disrespect you if you allow it. Bottom line Horrible shop, Horrible business woman. I won’t ever come back!

I called in advance to set up my appointment at 8 am on Saturday for my niece. I told her I wanted senegalese twists right to the bra strap. I was quoted $180. I was even told that 8 am is okay. We get there at 8 am and no one is there. I called the number and Gloria made it seem as if someone should have been there already. She even called me back to check and see if someone had came yet to unlock the door. Once I told her no, she said she was coming. We waited at least 30 minutes before Gloria came. Once we come inside, I tell her what my niece wanted again and she looks at me, like she is irritated, she states I thought you wanted box braids? I said, no, she wants senegalese twists and then she proceeded to say, well I will try a twist on her to see if it will stay because she has a lot of hair and they may not last long, etc. I said okay fine. I tell her the length and she states well because of her hair being so long, that it will have to be a little longer and that it would cost $200 instead. Now, remember, this is around 8:45 am, she did not finish her hair until 8pm that night! I told her to take her time but that is ridiculously long. I wanted to support the business but I will not be back. Forget a discount on the next visit. It was too much hassle and definitely not worth the price or time. I am not saying don’t go there, but I am saying ask her a lot of questions to get an understanding first so she won’t switch it up on you when you arrive at her shop.

Called Gloria at the last minute she was able to take me same day. I had two women finish my hair. Multiple compliments on it and both Gloria and the other lady were friendly.

late post. great experience. fast service. 2 people did my Senegalese twists in 4.5 hours. hair was very neat and I received lots of compliments. I’m going to be honest. I was a little skeptical at first because of the reviews but I like to experience things for myself. I’m so glad that I did. my only suggestions is to let them know not to use that black powder when doing twists is like ash. I guess it helps them twists the hair better.

MY 2nd time coming to the place and I will definitely NOT be back!!!!!!!!! The owner started doing my hair and immediately tried to get me to change my mind about twist and tried to get me to get box braids because she said it was only her and it would take to long . I explained to her that was NOT my problem and she should have said that when I booked the appointment. She instantly become visibly annoyed! I showed her a picture of the twist she did on my hair and I told her she charged me $170 and I want that exact style and that exact length and style. She then stated that she was charging $200 for that length. I told her I was not paying her $200 for something she just charged me $170 for. So I told her to do whatever length was $170. Before she started braiding my hair I explained to her that last time she braided it, the back was way shorter than the front which caused problems when I tried to put it in a pony tail. I explained to her that I needed my braids to all be the same size and same length. Not small around the edges and big in the middle. Smh. She began braiding my hair and I told her atleast 5 times that she was braiding too tight. She then said “it is nothing I can do about that” I told her it’s called not braiding my hair so damn tight! About 2 hrs into braiding my hair, one of her workers came and started to help. I immediately told GLORIA I did NOT want 2 people in my head because they don’t braid the same and my braids will not be the same size. She then got a attitude, AGAIN. And said the braids will be fine. At this point I was so ready for her to be done because of her attitude and the fact that she was VERY rude and unprofessional! I could tell by the way the other girl was parting my hair that her braids was bigger than Gloria’s braids. So I asked for a mirror and I’m guessing they felt offended because she shoved it in my hand! I looked at the braids and told her these braids are not the same size! And of course they acted like they did not understand English! I then grabbed on of the braids and put it next to a different braid and said “this is not even the same length” she then told me to let the braid go before I mess them up. And then said she would cut them. I then asked to plug my phone up on the charger and it was snatched out of my hand with snacking of the lips and heavy breathing! About 20min later my phone rang and I asked her to pass it to me because I was waiting on a important phone call. Gloria then said “do you want it charged or in your hand because you can’t do both” VERY RUDE ASS LADY! Considering the fact the her and her helper talked on the phone and text the WHOLE 8 1/2 hours they were doing my hair!! Long story short. My braids are big in the middle and small around the edges. The back is way shorter than the front. This place is very unprofessional and the owner GLORIA is very nasty and rude! I would not recommend this place! And it’s not worth the money!!!!! They braid too damn tight and act like they can’t understand English when you are asking for something!! DO NOT GO HERE!!!! SPEND YOUR MONEY SOMEWHERE ELSE!!!

Gloria is a THIEF and I give her a ZERO…..Meaning that I went there recently to get some Feed In Breads I had my own black hair that I purchased elsewhere and her crooked self stole some of the hair I came in with and exchanged it with some brown hair she added in my head. Gloria is a RIP OFF her and her staff..If anyone is still planning on using her and pay top dollars for the hair you prefer her to use in your hair then I suggest that you take someone with you to watch the SCANDALOUS CHEATING STYLIST……
