Amazing Aveda services in a historic building. Why did we name it The Globe? The salon building was the kitchen of the old Globe Hotel. The building is over 100 years old!! We love to honor the traditions and history of our small town. We love that nostalgic feeling of stepping into a history book of a small town. #smalltownbigheart #toosmalltofail #livelovelocal

My son’s hair cut was not what I asked for. I explained exactly what I wanted and she acted like she understood, it was not complicated at all. Once his hair was cut too short, there was nothing I could do. It was already cut. I told her not to cut the cowlick short because it sticks up, to keep the top longer for it to lay. She left the top very slightly longer, by centimeters but completely cut the cowlick. Although I was not happy, I gave her a card to pay for it. I told her I did not like it because it was not what I asked for. She did not apologize. She said “I thought you meant a little longer” When I tried to hand her the card, She did however, say “We only take cash or check”. I had called 3 days in advance to make the appointment and was not told to bring cash or check. I informed her I did not have cash, she said “There is an ATM in the alley”. I personally did not want to walk down an alley of any town, especially one I am not familiar with. My son and I walked to the alley ATM and found out it had a $5 service charge! I had to go to my car and search for enough cash/change to pay for the worst haircut my son has ever had. The salon is tiny and the air conditioning was not on with temperatures in the 80’s; the doors were open. I watched a perm being done, they opened what looked like store bought perm. The music was loud and obnoxious and inappropriate. I will never go to this salon again.
