I’ve been to her for several years now and have received several services at Glitz including braids, hair trims, ponytails, micro links, hydro treatments, and eyelash extensions. Tina is always professional and cares about the client’s needs. She’s very big on healthy hair. I love the time and effort she puts into doing my hair each time. Critical: ProfessionalismI sought out this business as it is black owned, and supposedly specializes in black hair care. The reviews seemed good enough, so I booked an appointment excited to find a salon to which I could give repeat business. On the morning of my appointment I was informed someone I shared an office with tested positive for covid. I felt it was considerate to let the salon know, in case that made them feel uncomfortable, as their job is higher risk. I was told we should reschedule (which we never did, she didn’t give me the option), and that I wouldn’t be charged the cancellation fee. Later in the day I noticed a $50 charge to my checking account. I reached out to confirm that this was on purpose and received really rude correspondence stating that I would in fact be charged, even though they were the ones that wanted to reschedule. When I asked if I could just put that charge towards my future services I was told “This is a business, and that’s not how it works.” Hopefully this isn’t how everyone working for Glitz does business, but in case it is, it might be wise to either not schedule appointments if you think you might put anyone at risk or I guess (based on my experience) just don’t consider their risk tolerance?!I sought out this business as it is black owned, and supposedly specializes in black hair care. I sought out this business as it is black owned, and supposedly specializes in black hair care. The reviews seemed good enough, so I booked an appointment excited to find a salon to which I could give repeat business. On the morning of my appointment I was informed someone I shared an office with tested positive for covid. : Tina is the only stylist I can say I have ever trusted to do my natural hair. A hair stylist that tells you to tell her how much hair you want cut, is a stylist that’s hard to find! The salon always has a welcoming atmosphere because Tina has a bubbly personality, she’s professional, and she does a great job on hair!! She does great silk presses, twist outs, and even faux locs. Always 5 stars!!
