We have been loyal clients for about 2yrs. Glenn has a special knack for curly hair. After my mom attempted to get her dream cut from others, she finally tried Mr. Glenn. She says she’s never loved her hair so much. He listens and immediately implements. He is very detailed and makes sure every curl is in place. Will continue going.

Glenn has been cutting my hair for the past 4+ years. We talk about what kind of cut/length Im looking for, and he pays attention to the different curl patterns and how much tension to use/not use when cutting. I typically go from ~shoulder blade length to ~just above the shoulders. Appointments start on time and I always leave with a cut I love. He’s friendly and easy to talk to. Would definitely recommend for any curly ladies looking for a cut.

I’ve been to Glenn twice and won’t be back after yesterday’s experience. I concur with several reviews below on the sometimes ungracious style of interaction and say with respect that there is vast room for improvement there. Mostly though, just a note for my fellow 3Bs or 3Cs, if you have fine, soft-textured, looser curls you won’t get much more than a basic trim here, and there are much more affordable options in the metroplex. I think it would be better if Glenn’s website were more explicit on the types of curls he excels at. A 200 dollar trim with gratuity was (literally) a high price to pay to come to that realization.

If I could give him 10 stars, I would! My salon experience with Glenn was the best one I’ve ever had, and he is the only person I will let cut my hair from here on out. Back in December, my hair caught on fire from a candle and my hair was left extremely uneven and damaged. I honestly didn’t even think it was fixable, but Glenn worked his magic and my hair now looks the best it’s ever looked. I LOVE the shape he cut my curls into, and I’ve been getting compliments from all my friends and family on the cut. Not only does Glenn have incredible attention to detail, but he actually takes the time to listen to what the CLIENT wants, rather than just doing what he wants to do with your hair (like many stylists often do). He is also very sweet and very informative, making sure to answer all of my questions along the way and teaching me techniques as he styled my hair. Not only that, but when I emailed him after my salon visit asking about specific products and techniques he used, he took the time to email me back a very long and detailed step by step guide on how he did my hair so I could continue styling my hair to perfection! If you want a stylist who truly cares about your hair, is patient enough to teach you how to care for your curls, and is a perfectionist in making sure that your hair cut is immaculate…. GO TO GLENN! I live in Austin and had to drive 3 hours to see him and it was 100% worth it and I will continue to do so anytime I need my hair cut again!

Glenn has been with me since day 1 of my curly hair journey. 2 years ago I decided to go for the big chop and embrace my curls. My hair was in terrible condition. Years of heat damage left my hair thin, brittle, and anything but curly. Glenn explained it would take time to repair and retrain my curls. Since March 2017, I have been a loyal client of Glenn (aka the curl whisperer). I found Glenn on Instagram and after doing a forensic review of his work and seeing the diversity of his clientele, I booked an appointment with him. From day one, he has perfected the natural care of my curls. He is very knowledgeable of naturally curly hair regardless of the hair type or density. He is the ONLY stylist I’ve been to that believes in styling my hair in its natural state. He is a consummate professional and the only person I trust to style my hair. He has recommended products that have aided in hydration and length retention. Glenn styles or colors my hair every 6-8 weeks and I couldn’t be happier with my hair or his service. To most stylists, African American natural hair can be intimidating but Glenn has the blueprint. I have recommended several people to Glenn and they have all had positive experiences with him and are all loyal clients too.

Glenn is wonderful! I got my haircut with Glenn last week and he gave me the most amazing haircut. It has such body and bounce, I get compliments left and right. Glenn cut off all of my heat damage, and my hair looks healthier than ever. Glenn never pushed products on me, he simply listed what he used and told me where I could buy the products. His approach is one of a very knowledgable friend, who wants to see you look your best!
