I had the worst treatment today at Glamour Nails & Spa in St. Louis Park. Specifically, I was instructed to “shut up” very loudly by the owner after I requested that he put the nail polish on my entire nail. This also comes after he pulled and cut my finger several times, and I said nothing.

$44 for a regular mani-pedi isn’t too bad, but they were terrible with painting them. Only did 2 coats of a light pink (didn’t ask if I wanted another) and for my toes they didn’t do a top coat until after they completely dried, causing them to smudge when I put my shoes on 15 mins later (I don’t have 30+ mins to wait for them to dry). Clean & tidy place, I’d opt for gel or being more direct about how many coats/when to put on the top coat if you go.

Critical: Cleanliness, Professionalism, Punctuality, Quality, ValueWorst place I’ve ever been and I’ve been to many places. Let me name the ways:1. My appointment was at 10am. No one came until 10:20am.2. When he finally arrived, he basically chopped my nails down so they weren’t existent. And it hurt.3. He pushed back my cuticles very roughly and it hurt.4. I asked for dipping powder nails, and he did gel powder. When I asked about this because perhaps he misunderstood me, he said gel powder was better for me because my nails were so short. But HE CUT THEM! The gel powder is also $4 more than the dipping powder, but he said “they’re basically the same.”5. The brush he used to apply the gel powder was never cleaned after he used it on me. So did he clean it before he used it on me? Doubt it.6. He asked what shape I wanted. I said round. He said square was better for me and proceeded to make my nails square (most likely because it was time efficient). He made a few of my nails crooked. When I pointed it out, he didn’t fix it. (You can clearly see my thumb nails aren’t even matching in length and my left nail is not straight. The other photo shows my pointer and middle fingers are also not straight.)7. Then midway through my nails, he up and leaves without saying a word and I’m transferred to a different table. And someone else painted my nails.8. Then another person applied the top coat. Left me halfway through applying the top coat to answer the phone, then left again to play on his phone while my nails dried. Was also FaceTiming friends while painting my nails.9. And then as I left, I’m told I need to pay $52. I originally came in to pay $38 (price of a dipping powder set). Yeah. I paid $14 more than I planned.10. And then as I walked out, I’m told, “Let us know if you’re not happy and we’ll fix it.” Yeah no. I was in a pinch and needed a fill on my pink and white full set. I am sad to say I was not happy with the overall experience. They are not the most outgoing which I can see coming off as rude, but I was ok without the small talk. It started off fine but got worse. He did not fill in the white tip, so now you can see my natural nail tip under the pink. And when shaping the nail cut the skin on the side of three of my fingers(see photo) it was a small cut but hurts like the dickens. I have had better experience and will wait to get into my usual salon next time. I am not telling people to not go, just be aware depending on the service requested. I can not speak for the other nail technicians, this was just my experience. Hope it helps you in making a decision.

Tiffany is my favorite nail technician I’ve ever found! My gel polish has never stayed on as long as it has with her doing my nails. She preps my nails to perfection which prevents my polish from lifting. She takes her time and pays close attention to every detail!

Reception was super friendly. Person who actually did my service was not. Only spoke to me once to ask my color, water was cold although I asked if it could be warmer twice. She didn’t even ask which pedicure I wanted, did not offer wax treatment, mask, or hot stone or towel. Literally just polish change and out the door. Would not be back.
